【Tech Development Update】Trends from Growth History, New Horizons for Expanded Services!

Looking back at 2014, 3DMart is about to enter its seventh year since its establishment. The support and affection from our vast customer base have been the driving force behind our continuous progress, sharing of new knowledge, and expansion of services. Last year, affected by the pandemic, many small and medium-sized enterprises transformed to survive this cold wave. 3DMart, deeply involved in this, has keenly felt the changes brought by various technological applications. Let's delve into 3DMart's development data to find out!
 
．3D Printing Emerges
The founders established roots in Taiwan in 2014, a time when discussions about new technologies were not as fervent as in English-speaking countries. The couple worked tirelessly to build their small company, introducing various 3D printing filaments and sharing application knowledge, hoping to help more local users deeply understand the efficiency and benefits brought by 3D printing. The following year, with support from original brands, they began introducing Ultimaker, Lulzbot, and other 3D printers, providing more usage tips and case studies. In 2016, they even established a branch office in Hong Kong, officially becoming a local foreign enterprise, and expanded to include the photopolymerization technology brand DWS, becoming the general agent for Ultimaker in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

 
．New Applications Keep Pace
As Taiwanese enterprises increasingly focused on 3D printing, our technological information also attracted media attention, leading to a TV interview with CTi News. In addition to collaborating on educational courses and providing more filaments and 3D printing technologies, the growing demand for digitalizing industrial parts led us to expand into Shining 3D scanning and 3D drawing services.
 

By 2017, due to increased personnel, we moved to our current Yonghe office. The same year saw a 30% growth rate, indicating that the Industry 4.0 boom opened up the public's perspective on the 3D industry.
 
 
．Industrial Equipment on the Desktop
Starting in 2018, the previously rare powder-based 3D printer Sinterit also moved into the 3DMart office. Technological innovation transformed large factory machinery into lightweight, desktop equipment. That year's growth rate reached 14%.
 

In addition to small and medium-sized enterprises, universities and colleges also increasingly focused on industrial development. The "New Generation Smart Manufacturing Dream Mobile," a touring vehicle invited by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, drove into campuses to allow students to experience the latest technology firsthand.

 
．More Choices for Micro-Makers
Not limited to 3D printing, the demands of local makers also became a driving force for information sharing. To meet the diverse needs of the general public, in 2019, we further introduced metal 3D printers, FLUX laser cutters, Roland CNC milling machines, FormBox and DT2 vacuum forming machines, ultrasonic cutters, and various other peripheral accessories.
 

At the end of 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the global economy, and Taiwan's export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises faced immense pressure. Although shipping costs surged fivefold, we maintained stable prices for all equipment to help our clients overcome difficulties. This crisis also became an opportunity to accelerate transformation. Mature desktop processing equipment became more favored by business owners. In the challenging year of 2020, we still achieved a counter-cyclical growth of 14% and added renowned 3D printer brands such as Snapmaker and Phrozen, with the potential market for micro-entrepreneurship booming and application technologies becoming even more diverse.
 


．2021: Turning the Tide
Looking ahead to 2021, our mission is to continue providing professional services across various technologies, maintaining transparent pricing and information, and freely sharing all kinds of new knowledge applications. This will enable the Taiwanese public to better grasp the latest technologies and understand them in an accessible way.
