【3D Printing Application】Heroes Assemble, "Deadpool" is the Cutest!
The eccentric hero movie "Deadpool," released after Marvel's "Avengers" series, created a sensation recently. The cute and charming character, whether a hero or villain, with his morally ambiguous style, stood out from other righteous heroes and was particularly popular with audiences. Deadpool's costume design includes a full-body spandex suit similar to Spider-Man's, as well as many wearable accessories such as a shoulder bag, long swords, protective armor, and a belt. When imported into the slicing software Cura 4.0, there's a feature to preview all print paths. Printing with a 0.15mm layer height takes approximately one day, and the finished model will be about 17x24x30cm. We used the latest model, the Ultimaker S5 3D printer, to print this large object. In the image, you can see the characteristic stacking texture of FDM, which is a result of the forming technology's principle. In addition to the normal stacking textures, other details like scratches, undulations, and bullet holes on the small pouch are all exquisite and realistic details inherent in the 3D model itself!
Although it's a 3D printed product created in one piece, the depth of detail is so rich that it visually appears like detachable accessories. The buckle on the chest, the neck ring, and the straps all have a very three-dimensional feel.
The depth of the sword handle on the back and the sword marks on the armor are also incredibly realistic, and the texture depth on the side of the small accessory bag is not overlooked. Our Ultimaker S5 3D printer faithfully reproduced every precise detail and depth.
You can also notice that the wrinkles on the bodysuit are simulated with remarkable accuracy. For collectors, we recommend setting the 3D printer to its highest precision to see even more equipment details on the back.
We've presented multiple angles for everyone to enjoy. The editor can't help but praise Deadpool's character design and the original model creator; the 3D model's muscular chest combined with his wicked, mischievous expression makes one want to applaud and cheer. The facial expressions are as rich as in the movie, perfectly capturing the essence of the character.
In a reverse operation! We also used the Shining Einscan Pro HD handheld high-definition mode to perform 3D scanning on the Deadpool model (Click here for the complete Deadpool 3D scanning record). We scanned every aspect of the model, moving freely according to its size, allowing for a wide and unrestricted scanning range. If the 3D scanned object is made of materials like black fabric, transparent glass, or reflective metal, which can affect lighting results, don't worry! Simply spray the surface with scanning powder developer, and you can proceed with the scan successfully!
