Making cosplay props or scaled models requires not only essential sculpting and coloring skills but also a meticulous and time-consuming process. This time, they combined vacuum forming technology, and with just a few simple steps, they quickly designed a realistic monster teeth prop. Here's the complete process:
To make the bottom of the model flatter for subsequent processing, you can inject more plaster into the bottom of the tooth model. Next, place the tooth model into the FormBox vacuum forming machine and use a clear casting sheet for vacuum forming; it only takes 3 seconds to press down! After demolding, cut the material sheet according to the tooth shape, and the base of the prop teeth will be formed.
(The props are primarily made using FormBox clear cast sheets, which are food-safe certified and can safely come into contact with the human body and mouth for up to 8 hours.)
Next, use clay to sculpt the desired shape on the plaster model, then follow the same steps to create a mold. Pour dental resin into the mold to create the style of teeth for the prop. Finally, use paints and alcohol to color and polish the prop.
