【3D Scanning Application】FDMTL Tokyo Fashion Show, AR Interactive Reality Before Your Eyes!
AR fashion exhibition, attend Fashion Week from home! Japanese fashion brand "FDMTL" launched its latest fashion collection as scheduled, combining 3D scanning technology in response to the ongoing global pandemic. High-definition details of the clothing are presented, view the Tokyo Noh Theater fashion exhibition and new fashion items online:
Japanese fashion brand "FDMTL", founded in 2005, designs various garments made from unique washed denim fabrics. It has collaborated with major brands such as Danner, Vans, New Era, Chup, and Masterpiece. Gaku Tsuyoshi, the founder and designer of FDMTL, used to fly to Paris every year from January to June to exhibit and unveil the brand's latest fashion collections. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic since 2020, Gaku and his brand team were unable to participate.
To ensure the timely release of the latest season's designs, Gaku and his team held the "FDMTL 2021SS" fashion exhibition on the stage of the National Noh Theater in Shibuya, Tokyo. However, due to pandemic restrictions on gatherings, the Noh Theater was not open to the public. Gaku ultimately decided to combine 3D scanning technology with the exhibition, allowing viewers to appreciate the latest products without needing to be physically present!

What's more! In the FDMTL 2021SS online fashion exhibition, each new product has a dedicated QR code. After scanning with a mobile phone, you enter a clothing preview screen, where you can choose between two modes: AR spatial interactive reality or 3D display of clothing details. Through the Mattertags feature, you can customize and annotate every product detail, whether it's detailed photos, introductory videos, official website links, etc., providing a more detailed explanation for the product as needed.

By scanning with our mobile phones, we can visit FDMTL's new season denim jackets even from the office, just like being there in person, a truly immersive experience! The 3D virtual display of clothing details allows for zooming in and out, free rotation of the garment's angle, and high-resolution, color-accurate presentation of fabric details to customers.

"Through Matterport 3D scanning, exhibition spaces are transformed into high-definition online virtual spaces, making it feel like you're really there! No need to install any programs, you can navigate the exhibition space instantly using a mobile phone, tablet, or computer. No expensive equipment or professional knowledge is required, making it suitable for everyone," Gaku excitedly stated.

Here's a little sneak peek! Not long ago, we had the great honor of receiving a collaboration proposal for 3D scanning from the master Gaku Tsuyoshi. If you want to know what kind of collaboration it is, be sure to keep an eye on our updates! Stay tuned!
