Artist Design International is an interior design company primarily responsible for commercial space planning for airport duty-free shops and department stores, while also providing residential interior design planning services.
Their main clients are mostly international well-known liquor brands. Recently, for one of their commercial space design projects, they collaborated with 3DMart for 3D printing services, using resin 3D printing technology to create decorations for the display counter.
Those who enjoy alcoholic beverages probably know the famous Dalmore whiskey. Its most impressive feature is its lifelike stag head logo. This time, the 3D printed stag head object will be installed as a decoration on the tasting counter at the Taoyuan Airport Duty-Free Shop.

Why choose 3D printing technology?
Previously, most of the decorations used by Artist Design in commercial space design projects were made by sculpting a model with clay and then using mold casting. This time, 3D printing technology was chosen primarily because the client provided complete 3D files and requested greater precision in the production of the decorations. Therefore, they decided to use a 3D printer for manufacturing.
The design manager at Artist Design stated that they initially considered using CNC or metal processing for manufacturing. However, after evaluating costs and time, they concluded that 3D printing was more aligned with their cost requirements. 3D printing is more affordable than other manufacturing methods and can achieve almost all the required levels of detail.
Production Process
The picture shows the recently 3D printed stag head decoration.
This time, the Liquid Crystal HR LCD resin 3D printer was used for 3D printing. The completed stag head model was then sent to an electroplating factory for electroplating treatment. Due to limited time, there wasn't much opportunity for testing. If there had been ample time, another model with stronger resin could have been printed to better avoid slight deformation during post-processing (electroplating).
After printing is complete, the resin must be allowed to cure before removing the support structures.
After using tools to remove the supports, 3DMart's task was completed. The 3D printed stag head was then sent to a professional electroplating factory for surface treatment, giving it a shiny and captivating metallic appearance.

The electroplated stag head decoration looks exquisite; at first glance, one might genuinely mistake it for a metal product.
After installing the stag head on the counter and displaying the products, it truly exudes an extraordinary grandeur!!!
