One-step printing feature
One-step printing is a revolutionary new feature that makes 3D printing easier and more convenient. In this article, we will introduce how it works and the benefits it brings!
MakerWorld has developed the one-step printing feature and seamlessly integrated it into the Bambu Handy APP, perfectly compatible with all Bambu Lab 3D printers, including X1 Carbon, P1S, P1P, and more. It currently also supports over 40 non-Bambu Lab 3D printers, such as Prusa, ensuring that more users can easily use 3D printing.
First, let's introduce the workflow of one-step printing:

Magic happens when various elements come together: models provided by creators, print profiles provided by 3D printing experts, and filament parameters provided by suppliers. Bambu Lab's cloud slicing service is a key component of their system, bringing all these elements together. The resulting G-code is customized according to the community's best knowledge and sent directly to the printer.
Why are print profiles (.3mf) encouraged?
Compared to STL and G-code files, print profiles (.3mf) offer several advantages:
Convenience and Time-saving
Print profiles can store all the necessary information for printing a model, including print settings, orientation, arrangement, and coloring. This saves users the time and hassle of manually adjusting these settings for each print, especially for complex projects.
Highly Flexible
Print profiles are not specific to a particular printer, filament, or build plate. This allows users to flexibly switch between printers, filaments, or build plates without having to create new print profiles.
Easy to Edit
Print profiles are easy to edit and iterate. This allows users to fine-tune print settings for optimal results.
G-code and STL files have their limitations. G-code files are only applicable to specific printers, filaments, and build plates. STL files lack slicing settings, which users can only adjust manually. If you still want to choose STL, MakerWorld provides the option to upload/download STL files.
Can print profiles damage my printer?
MakerWorld protects your printer from the risk of incorrect settings that could lead to problems such as printer overheating or clogged nozzles by not using the printer and print settings from the uploaded print profile during cloud slicing. Instead, it re-slices based on the official presets created in Bambu Studio or your own settings, according to your chosen printer and print type.
Through cloud slicing and print profile documents, MakerWorld offers a range of beneficial features:
1. Easy Printing of Multi-Part Models: Bambu Lab's system allows you to separate multi-part models into individual plates, making printing easy even on mobile devices. In addition, by assigning parts of the same color to one print plate, filament waste due to color switching can be effectively reduced. Markers are added to printed plates to prevent duplicate prints. If any plate fails to print successfully, you can quickly reprint the selected plate. Furthermore, assembly instructions can be obtained directly from Bambu Handy, eliminating the need for a computer.

2. Universal Compatibility of Bambu Studio Print Profiles (.3MF): A single Bambu Studio print profile can support multiple printers and print bed types without requiring adjustments. For example, if a user uploads a print profile for a Bambu X1 printer and a textured PEI print bed, another user can easily switch to a different printer and print bed. This compatibility is achieved through cloud slicing, which preserves critical components of the print profile (such as support/strength settings) while adjusting each print task based on the current printer, filament, and print bed.

3. Simplified Filament Selection: Don't worry if you don't have the same materials as the print profile uploader! You can choose suitable alternatives from existing materials. For example, if the uploader used PETG, you can choose PLA, ABS, or other materials. Bambu Lab's cloud slicing service adjusts according to the selected material parameters to ensure accurate printing. In addition, Bambu Handy also supports custom material parameter presets created in Bambu Studio for optimal results.

Slice according to your filament, the image above shows the print file's filament setting as PETG, you can change it to PLA or other filaments.
4. Color Change Preview (Coming Soon): MakerWorld supports color switching and model preview. This feature allows you to clearly see the printing effect of the selected colors. In addition, cloud slicing also adjusts the filament purge amount according to your color selection to prevent color mixing.

5. Easy Replication: For models requiring multiple copies, this program makes it easy. Simply specify the desired number of print copies, and the cloud slicing feature will find the ideal position for each copy.

In summary, MakerWorld's one-step printing, combined with cloud slicing and print profiles, redefines the 3D printing experience. By enhancing convenience, compatibility, and flexibility, it empowers users to explore their creativity without technical barriers!
