[3D Printing Event] 3D Printing Validation Results Seminar

Last Wednesday, 3DMART was invited to give a speech at the Plastics Industry Development Center in Taichung.
The topic of the speech was related to the FDM 3D printing technology!
Let's see what the handsome boss of 3DMART and the dashing sales engineer shared with everyone about the latest 3D printing information.

3DMart was very honored to be invited to participate in the "3D Printing Verification Results Seminar" at the Plastics Industry Development Center in Taichung.
As 3D printing and 3D manufacturing technology are highly valued, related verification of this technology is becoming increasingly important.
Before the event began, Ms. Hsu Hui-min, Deputy Manager of the Verification Department at the Plastics Industry Development Center, introduced the content of the day's lectures and the speakers.

The first speaker was from UL Digital Manufacturing Technology Department, who used presentations and charts to introduce the aspects that need to be evaluated for 3D printing materials,
including material strength, temperature resistance, volatile substances during printing, etc., with results obtained through extensive verification. With the popularization of 3D printing,
ensuring that the materials you use are certified will give you peace of mind!

The second speaker was Specialist Lai from the Plastics Industry Development Center, who shared with the audience which 3D printers (Ultimaker2 Extended+ and Lulzbot TAZ5) the center uses
for material verification, and how they actually test the differences in strength of samples printed in different orientations.

Next was Specialist Chen from Shinkong Synthetic Fibers, who introduced the characteristics and differences of TPEE and TPU materials,
and the suitable application ranges for these materials.

Next up was 3DMART's presentation, with the theme of additive manufacturing equipment development, technical applications, and educational experience sharing.
It was kicked off handsomely by 3DMART's dashing boss, Mr. Atem.

Everyone was immediately captivated, putting aside their work to listen to the upcoming presentation. It was truly wonderful!!
Even the 3D printing model behind 3DMART made a "YA" gesture. XD

Looking at his confident gestures, he deserves more than just 87 points; he probably earned a perfect 100!

3DMART's engineer taught everyone that when looking at FDM machines, there's a crucial technology called "dual nozzles"!
Dual nozzle machines can print two colors simultaneously. The most important thing is that one nozzle can be used to print water-soluble support material. Firstly, there will no longer be unsightly traces from removing supports. Secondly, supports that couldn't be removed before can now be handled with water-soluble supports.

However, 3DMART previously did not recommend FDM/FFF 3D printers to everyone because it was difficult to guarantee the levelness between the two nozzles, which could affect the object. Also, with both nozzles constantly heated, if material from nozzle B flowed onto the object while nozzle A was printing, even if the print wasn't a failure, the finished product would certainly not look good.

But recently, desktop dual-nozzle machines have been improving significantly, such as Ultimaker's latest Ultimaker 3, which features a nozzle lift system. When nozzle A is printing, nozzle B retracts so it doesn't affect the object. When nozzle B prints, it lowers more than nozzle A, keeping the non-printing nozzle in a higher position. The nozzle design has also been improved to prevent material from flowing out easily. Currently, this is the highest quality FDM 3D printer we have tested!

3D technology is becoming more and more widespread, and even in daily life, 3D printing technology has been integrated. In recent years, 3DMART has silently supported the 3D Mobile Lab Project, helping more students and young people understand 3D printing technology. Taiwanese students must not be unaware of the important 3D technologies in the international arena!~~~~~

We hope that 3DMART's presentation this time was helpful to the audience, allowing everyone to understand the current trends in the 3D industry and the breakthroughs and applications of FDM technology.

Also, 3DMART's Instagram has been launched! In the future, various 3D printing models, as well as related materials and event introductions, will be posted. After seeing the physical models in the photos, everyone will surely have a clearer picture and impression of the performance of various materials!
