We are constantly trying new things for our customers. The main material used for this car body is PLA, which is very easy to print and resistant to warping, providing an excellent surface finish for the object. It can also be used with Cura slicing software to achieve the best finished product quality. In addition to Ultimaker machines, it is also suitable for other FDM machines, making it the most economical choice among common materials, so you can print without worry or heartache.
This time, we're using a Bugatti sports car model. You can see the many exquisite details of the engine in the picture. Now, let's take on the challenge!
Since PLA filament can be used with PVA on the Ultimaker 3 for both the main body and supports, it's very convenient. Therefore, the printing of these parts involved many applications of water-soluble supports. The picture shows the finished car engine hood.
This time, the entire model was completed using single-color printing and post-printing assembly. The total time for completing the parts was about two weeks (because our printing schedule was quite full, we could only print during free slots). Fortunately, we have many types of machines, so larger parts could be handled by the Ultimaker S5. Finally, the assembled tire parts were also a great success!
The assembled car body is simply stunning! We chose an orange and black color scheme. When printing, you can choose your favorite colored filaments.
The engine details were also printed.
Finally, with the tires installed, the dream sports car is complete! With Harley Quinn next to it, it's truly a beautiful car with a beautiful woman!
