[3D Printing Application] Camper's Trendy Shoe Development History: BCN Replicates Twice as Fast!

【3D Printing Application】Camper's Trendy Shoe Development History: BCN Replicates Twice as Fast!

Renowned shoe brand Camper has launched various popular and innovative shoe styles. In the past, the Camper team typically took three months to design a new series, with outsourcing sample model production alone requiring two weeks to complete. To develop more new shoe styles freely and quickly, the Camper team collaborated with BCN3D for the first time, achieving an impressive annual sales record of over 4 million pairs of shoes! Watch the full process here:

After the Camper designers initially develop a new shoe style, they use 3D printing technology to print out their abstract ideas within a single day! By the second day, they can have a physical 3D printed shoe model. Any ideas that need adjustment or testing can be modified immediately. Whether designing men's or women's shoes, designers can propose their ideas more boldly, significantly increasing the feasibility of each creative concept.

The Camper team uses PLA filament, the most common material in 3D printing, to create shoe samples with various complex structures. As we introduced in the 3D Printing Filament Comparison Guide (click here to view), PLA (Polylactic Acid) filament is commonly used for testing concept models, industrial parts, architectural models, casting molds, and various other complex sample shapes.
Models made with PLA filament have smooth, flat printing effects and saturated colors. The material cost is low, allowing for the testing of different prototypes without significant expense. Composed of agricultural crops like corn and sugarcane, it is renewable and biodegradable, causing no environmental impact after use. It is truly the preferred material for producing complex samples!
BCN3D series 3D printers use IDEX (Independent Dual Extruders) 3D printing technology, where the two nozzle systems are completely separate and move independently, so their movements do not interfere with each other during operation. Even when using different colors or materials of 3D printing filament for production, the nozzle systems do not affect each other, effectively improving the quality of the finished product.

"Since our production line incorporated BCN3D's IDEX technology, we have successfully 3D printed various highly detailed shapes. We can also simultaneously create support structures for models using water-soluble filament, producing high-quality sample prototypes and bringing imaginative design ideas to reality in the fastest possible time. Creativity is no longer limited by time or space!" exclaimed Camper's lead designer, Job Willemsen.

BCN3D series 3D printers can reliably print objects of various sizes, bringing twice the production efficiency to various industries. Did you enjoy this sharing? 3DMart offers more than just 3D printing. Contact us now to learn more about 3D printers.
