[3D Printing Workshop] 2026 NTU EE MakeNTU Hackathon Workshop: 3DMart Goes All Out to Support Participants!

【3D Printing Lecture】MakeNTU 2026 Workshop Recap

We are delighted to once again participate in the MakeNTU 2026 event.
To ensure the smooth running of the hackathon in May, students first learned the basic concepts and knowledge of 3D printing, aiming to successfully apply them on the day of the competition. The 3DMart team provided tutorials on slicing software, as well as introductions and guidance on physical equipment.

Make NTU
The largest student-led hardware hackathon in Taiwan will bring together over 250 of the most creative and hands-on students from universities such as National Taiwan University (NTU), National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), and National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in May 2026. Within 36 hours, they will transform their ideas into physical prototypes.
The 2026 competition will not only continue to promote hardware innovation but also partner with the NTU Office of Sustainability to deepen the concept of SDGs, establishing a "Sustainability Award" and introducing green initiatives to guide young people to focus their creativity on sustainable challenges.

Since its inception in 2016 by students from the NTU Department of Electrical Engineering, MakeNTU has become the most iconic national hackathon in Taiwan.
MakeNTU 2026 returns stronger than ever this year, continuing the core spirit of "software and hardware integration for practical creation" and breaking the stereotype that "hackathons = just coding." It aims to give participants the satisfaction of experiencing the journey from zero to one, transforming ideas into reality, all within 36 hours!

This is not just a competition; it's a "real-world training."
Here, you will face challenge topics from real industries and compete alongside 250 top talents and 50 teams from across Taiwan.

With hardware and software integration at its core, it's suitable for cross-disciplinary collaboration for those with electrical control, mechanical, and information backgrounds.
In addition to prize money, there are multiple corporate special awards awaiting the most innovative teams.
With the resources provided by the organizers, participants only need to bring their passion and creativity. From NXP's chip applications to AVNET's technical support, and 3DMart's professional mentors in the field of 3D printing, all will be on-site to guide the participants.

3D Printing Support: Bambu Lab Remains Your Strongest Backer
This workshop focused on teaching the Bambu Lab 3D printer series, including the A1 Combo, P2S Combo, and H2S Combo 3D printers.

Reflecting on the success of 2025, Bambu Lab's high-speed 3D printers shone brightly in the workshop, enabling participants to instantly refine prototypes and transform designs in their minds into physical objects.
At MakeNTU 2026, we have similarly prepared ample resources to ensure hardware development is no longer restricted:

Bambu Lab 3D printers offer both printing speed and quality, coupled with simple and intuitive software operation, making them ideal for high-intensity and fast-paced competition environments.
In the past, installing, calibrating, testing 3D printers, and setting up complex parameters in slicing software would take a significant amount of time. However, with Bambu Lab, this can be completed within 20 to 30 minutes.

This allows participants to quickly turn various creative ideas into reality. Contestants can print finished products relying on its powerful features without needing overly specialized knowledge, thus focusing more on the product design itself, realizing their innovative concepts, and transforming them into tangible practical works.

To help contestants excel in the 36-hour ultimate challenge of MakeNTU 2026, 3DMart participated in the Bambu Lab 3D printing practical workshop.
Building on last year's enthusiastic response, this year we brought more in-depth and competition-relevant course content, aiming to help the shortlisted teams fully utilize the on-site 3D printing equipment to materialize their ideas as quickly as possible.

During the workshop, 3DMart's professional instructors not only detailed the features of Bambu Lab's high-speed 3D printers and hardware maintenance methods but also focused on software applications.
The instructors meticulously explained the steps for using the dedicated slicing software "Bambu Studio" and delved into various critical printing parameters for common scenarios encountered in the competition:

Layer Height: How to achieve a perfect balance between print speed and surface precision.
Infill & Walls: For functional structural parts, how to set infill density and wall thickness to ensure product strength.
Support: For complex geometric structures, how to set easily removable supports that do not affect surface quality.
Print Speed: Fully leveraging the speed advantage of Bambu Lab machines to significantly reduce prototyping time.

We firmly believe that through the knowledge and experience gained from the workshop, we can provide the strongest support to the participating students, enabling them to fully unleash their potential and create amazing software-hardware integrated works within 36 hours!
3DMart wishes everyone success in applying what they've learned in the competition!

In addition to theoretical lessons, we also displayed several exquisite samples made by Bambu Lab machines on-site.
Students could directly observe the differences in finished products caused by various parameter settings, complementing the instructor's explanations. This encouraged them to consider how to apply or incorporate this knowledge into the works they will be creating for MakeNTU 2026.
