【3D Printing Workshop】A comprehensive guide to three technologies: printing, modeling, and scanning!

【3D Printing Workshop】Three Techniques in One Session: Printing, Modeling, and Scanning!

The workshop on March 8th this year was met with enthusiastic registration. In addition to 3D printing technology, it also covered Solid Edge modeling and scanning. For those who missed out, don't worry! We're here to bring you a recap of the day's highlights! We also prepared plenty of drinks and snacks during the class break, so you wouldn't fall asleep or go hungry. Our goal was to let you focus on learning the technology!

Before the lecture began, everyone was very interested in the 3D printing samples. 3DMart staff were there to patiently answer all your questions. The lecturer, Artem, also spoke excellent Chinese, so there was no need to worry!

First up was an introduction to Solid Edge modeling, providing a continuous concept from the operating interface to object formation. Currently, purchasing the EinScan Pro 2X or 2X Plus series comes with free dedicated Solid Edge software, making post-scanning refinement even more convenient.

In addition to explaining 3D printing formation techniques, the event also featured a rich display of finished products for attendees to pass around, providing a more intuitive understanding of the three common applications of 3D printing. Furthermore, an online tutorial version was also provided, allowing everyone to look up these 3D printing techniques after class. During this lecture, a total of three different objects were scanned live: a Thanos figurine, a car bumper, and a real human face. Compared to the physical Thanos figurine, even the jawline details were clearly visible after scanning.

We previously shared a live scan of a car bumper (Further reading: EinScan Pro 2X+ Challenge! Bumper Modeling in Just 3 Minutes!). On-site, we also used the handheld scanning mode to let everyone experience just how fast the formation speed is. Friends who didn't get a chance to take photos or videos can directly refer to our time-lapse video with a stopwatch.

Finally, a volunteer from the audience personally experienced a face scan. The color scan faithfully captured the volunteer's facial features, requiring only computer processing. This makes it incredibly convenient and fast for industrial, artistic, or medical applications.

Thank you all for participating in the afternoon's 3D printing workshop. Certificates of completion were awarded, allowing everyone to take home a wealth of knowledge and new skills.

We will continue to hold various events and share the latest developments in 3D printing, which will be announced on our Facebook fan page and official website's latest news. Please continue to follow us for first-hand information!
