【3D Scanning】Practical Test of Rear Light Metal Part Scanning

【3D Scanning】Rear Light Metal Part Scanning Test Review

Previously, we also used a 3D scanner to scan motorcycle fairings. Do you still remember?
The most amazing thing about the fairing was the detail presented on the back, with even the tiny connection holes being completely scanned.
This time, we will also introduce a car-related part – the car's rear light housing.
First, let's look at the shape of the object to be scanned. There are two holes at the front for placing the car lights, and a handle part at the back.

Since the object is made of highly reflective metal, we first need to attach scanning target stickers, and then proceed with spraying powder.

When attaching the scanning target stickers, try to avoid placing them too regularly or neatly. The denser the points are, the more accurate the scanning result will be.

Remember to attach stickers completely on both the front and back!

After scanning for a period of time, the completed 3D model file:

The completeness of this 3D scan is also excellent. Even without any post-processing, the features are so clearly presented. Among handheld 3D scanners,
the EINSCAN PRO+ should be one of the best. If you have any other questions about 3D scanning or need 3D scanning services, please let us know your requirements.
