【3D Printing News】Ultimaker Cura 4.0 Officially Released, Free Download!
Ultimaker Cura 4.0 has been officially released! Whether you are a beginner or a 3D printing expert, you can benefit from the simplified process. Simplified User Interface
The new user interface in Ultimaker Cura is more adaptable to all types of users. The old control area is now displayed at the top; in the "Prepare" section, you can see the 3D model's appearance, while the "Layer View" and "Preview View" that simulate the 3D printing process have been moved to the "Preview" section. The "Monitor" section allows you to track the printing progress of your Ultimaker printer.
The collapsible interface allows you to select options as needed, providing a larger and clearer operating window. The "Recommended" mode at the bottom of the window offers quick and easy automatic parameters. Switching to "Custom" mode allows you to manually adjust over 300 slicing settings according to your needs, and you can also keep all settings visible.

The top right of the main interface now features a "Marketplace" option, where you can select available plugins and filament parameters. The filament category also includes website links, making it easier for users to find product descriptions and place orders.
User Login
The new Cura allows direct login to your Ultimaker account from the interface and access to Ultimaker Cloud features.

Backup
Work even when you're not in the office. Save your settings to the cloud for use on any computer, whether Windows, Mac, or Linux. Creating or restoring backup data requires an Ultimaker account and an internet connection. Each Ultimaker account currently allows five backups.
Remote Printing
After logging into your Ultimaker Cura account, you can use Ultimaker Cloud to send and monitor print jobs from one end of the world to the other. Currently, each account can link one Ultimaker printer.
*Note: This feature is only available for Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker S5 printers with firmware 5.2 (coming soon).

Ultimaker Cura 4.0 supports Windows, Mac, and Linux, and 14 languages, including English, German, and Chinese. Through an Ultimaker account, you can share and provide feedback on plugins.
