[Brand News] Snapmaker 2023 Review and 2024 Plan

 

Snapmaker values user feedback and constantly innovates to meet expectations. In June, it launched the Snapmaker 2.0 Quick Swap Kit Series, significantly reducing module switching time and further improving work efficiency. In July, it released 20W and 40W Laser Modules, upgrading your 3D printer into a more powerful desktop laser cutter. In August, Snapmaker introduced its first standalone laser engraver and cutter—the Snapmaker Ray, which supports various materials to meet creative needs and makes creation easier.

 

 

Showcasing Strength at Exhibitions

Snapmaker launched the Artisan 3-in-1 3D Printer and the J1 3D Printer (the latest version being the J1s) at CES 2023 in January, marking the international debut of this domestic leader. The Artisan 3-in-1 3D Printer even won a CES Innovation Award in 2023. In November, Snapmaker participated in Formnext 2023 in Germany, where it showcased the Snapmaker Ray 40W Laser Engraver and Cutter offline for the first time, attracting many attendees for discussions and demonstrations.
 

 

Industry Recognition

Snapmaker's Artisan 3-in-1 3D Printer and J1 3D Printer both won three major global design awards: the iF Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, and an International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) Finalist Award in 2023. In addition, the Snapmaker J1 stood out from nearly 7,000 entries in the Goldreed Industrial Design Award, winning the Excellent Product Design Award.

Fostering Global Partnerships for Shared Success

Last year, many overseas partners visited Snapmaker. Local staff hosted them for factory tours to deepen their understanding of the overall manufacturing process, thereby building long-term cooperative relationships through the creation of reliable products.

Snapmaker also continued to visit partners around the world, engaging in extensive discussions and outlooks for future cooperation, jointly envisioning a brighter cooperative blueprint.

During the visit, in addition to learning about operations and product information, the practical and cost-effective products, along with pleasant conversations, deepened the relationship between both parties.

Connecting with Users, Building a Community Together

Every community member represents the core spirit of Snapmaker creators. Community feedback has always been crucial, inspiring the development of many products. 2023 emphasized strengthening cooperation with the community, gaining user recognition through transparent communication. Before each new product launch, some users are selected as early adopters to participate and help improve the product experience. Additionally, users are invited to test firmware and software beta versions, providing feedback for further optimization.
 

In May this year, to give back to the open-source community and make the J1 a better 3D printer, Snapmaker decided to share the source code of the Snapmaker J1 3D printer controller. In November, the Starmaker program was launched to recognize and reward exemplary community members who have made outstanding contributions. Furthermore, at Formnext 2023, Snapmaker interacted offline with a group of loyal users, discussing product experiences in depth. Future work will continue to focus on community engagement, listening to feedback, bringing creation to everyone, and empowering users to create their best.
