【Competition Information】Snapmaker Summer Short Film Contest: Quality Time with Pets!


What's better than enjoying a long summer with your furry friends?

This summer, we invite you to participate in the Snapmaker Pet & Passion Summer Short Film Contest: use your Snapmaker to make pet toys, accessories, or a cat portrait to hang in your beach house - anything pet-related!

Works can be unique designs you created yourself, or simple designs downloaded from the internet. 3D printing, laser cutting/engraving, and CNC carving are all great ways to have fun in the sun with your pets!

The competition runs from July 17th to August 8th at 11:59 PM HST.

🗒Rules

Content and format are open-ended! This is a great opportunity to showcase your creativity and win amazing prizes!

• Videos should be under 60 seconds long.
• Videos should be in vertical format.
• Use the hashtag #snapmakersummer to upload your pet and passion video to YouTube Shorts, then submit the video link to the Gleam widget!
• Ensure that 80% or more of the components in your work are created using Snapmaker machines.
• The submission deadline is August 8, 2024, at 11:59 PM HST.

Be sure to highlight the design and ideas behind your creation, as well as the final product, to increase your chances of winning!

 

🎁Prizes

​The top 3 participants will each receive the following prizes:

  • 1 year of pet insurance for 1 dog or 2 cats, chosen by Snapmaker from selected insurers and plans, provided as expense reimbursement.

  • 1 x Snapmaker Test Pilot helmet, indicating that the recipient has enrolled in the Snapmaker Test Pilot Program (they will test new Snapmaker products in the prototype phase!)

💼Evaluation
The vendor will invite contributors from the Snapmaker user community, the community moderator team, and a small number of Snapmaker team members to participate in the voting process within a specified timeframe. Snapmaker will select 3 winners, one for each of the following categories:
 
• Most Creative Project: (Overall consideration of video, creation, and how the creation is used)

• Best Summer Award: Which project best fits the "summer" theme?

• Best Performance Award: Which furry (or feathered or scaled) friend do you think performed the best?
 
Note: Share your video widely! Use your friends, family, and social media connections to spread the word about how wonderful your video and creation are.

❓FAQs


• How are winners selected?
Winners are selected based on the evaluation described above. Videos will also be screened for validity according to the rules mentioned.

• How will I know if I won?
Snapmaker will announce the results on its website and official social media accounts on Tuesday, August 20th, and will also send emails to the winners.

• If I win, how do I claim my prize?
Snapmaker will contact you via the email address used to log in; please reply to claim your prize.

• What if I uploaded the wrong task video link?
You can contact Snapmaker via social media or at social@snapmaker.com, and they will assist you in resetting your entry.

• Who should I ask if I have questions about this event?
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Snapmaker at social@snapmaker.com.
 

🔧Terms and Conditions


• Regarding pet insurance: It will be jointly decided with the winner which company and plan are most suitable for the winner's pet. Snapmaker will reimburse 1 year of pet insurance, up to a maximum of $1000 USD.

• Regarding helmets: Please note that the helmet design in the prize poster is for promotional purposes only, and the actual helmet may differ from this description.

• Winning entries will be announced on August 20th, and winners will be contacted via the email address used for registration. Snapmaker will arrange for winners to receive their preferred prizes via email and will make every effort to contact winners, but if multiple attempts to contact a winner over a week or more are unsuccessful, the prize will be awarded to the next highest-scoring submission that has not yet won.

• By submitting an entry, you authorize Snapmaker or anyone acting on behalf of Snapmaker to edit, publish, distribute, and use your submitted content globally for any purpose without further notice, review, or consent. However, Snapmaker will ensure your right to attribution, so your name will be credited.

• Snapmaker reserves the right to terminate and change the terms at any time.
