.Ventilation Grill
Common "ventilation grills" are typically made through injection molding, which requires designing a basic model first, followed by mass production using molds and injection equipment, taking at least a year to complete. The CIM UPC team first 3D scanned the parts and then utilized 50 BCN3D printers for full production. Thanks to the IDEX (Independent Dual Extruders) technology, printing was mainly carried out in "Duplication" mode, successfully completing all object production within half a year, halving the delivery time!
 
 
 
When using IDEX technology for 3D printing, you can choose between "Duplication" and "Mirror" modes. Both extruders work simultaneously, achieving double the efficiency and productivity within the same amount of time!
 
.Automotive Intake Manifold
The CIM UPC team uses 3D printing technology to design automotive part samples. The internal details of an intake manifold are complex, and to ensure precision and quality, the stability of the 3D printer and materials is crucial. By using BCN3D printers with the Smart Cabinet (BCN3D Smart Cabinet), they can control the humidity of up to 8 spools of 3D printing filament at once. The uninterruptible power supply system also effectively prevents any potential power outages during operation, ensuring smooth 3D printing operations even without constant supervision.

For large-scale production equipment in the pharmaceutical industry, a project required the creation of 15 sample models. CIM UPC evaluated various manufacturing technologies and conducted a cost analysis, ultimately choosing to use Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology with a common industrial material, PP (Polypropylene). This choice resulted in cost savings of nearly 260,000 New Taiwan Dollars, making it the most economical and efficient option for the enterprise!
