【3D Printing】Presq and Bambu Lab collaborate to launch new 3D printed shoes

[3D Printing] Presq and Bambu Lab Partner to Launch New 3D Printed Shoes

3D printed shoes are not new, with brands like NIKE, Adidas, ASICS, and many companies having experimented with them for years.
Their shoes are stunning, and the technology is impressive, but it's all been closed off.
You can buy their shoes, but you can't customize, reassemble, or print them yourself, and that's where this collaboration differs.

When you combine open-source design with culturally relevant aesthetics and accessible technology, you get something powerful:
A way of making that puts creativity back into the hands of the community.

Open-Source Footwear for All
Bambu Lab is partnering with Presq, a Los Angeles-based design and technology studio that builds culturally resonant products, to create a "rapid to product" workflow.
The first product from this collaboration is Fig.(0), an open-source footwear design built for customization and experimentation.
This provides creators, designers, and innovators with the tools to remix, adapt, and shape their own footwear future.

Here's what's included in this first open-source release:
.3mf files for US size 10, with a scaling factor table for adjusting to other sizes.
The files are pre-sliced and optimized for Bambu H2D printers, with matte TPE 85A as the main material and PLA as support by default.
The finished product allows for clean support removal, reliable performance, and a wear-resistant surface.

Adam Saleh, founder and CEO of Presq, stated: "By combining Bambu's performance with our design system and creative direction, we provide creators with a tangible path from imagination to wearable reality. “
“And our approach is to bring cultural value closer to the communities that create it.”

Next Steps
This is just the beginning. Presq will release new designs monthly, offering novel styles you can explore, print, and make your own.
Presq’s creative direction demonstrates how 3D printing can move out of the studio and into everyday life, designing products that are beautiful, wearable, and culturally relevant.
Through this collaboration between Bambu Lab and Presq, it's easier than ever for more people to join, create, and shape the future of manufacturing!
