Bambu Lab once again breaks the mold of traditional 3D printers, introducing the H2D, which integrates 3D printing, laser engraving, pen plotting, and cutting functions. This product not only continues Bambu Lab's consistent advantages in ease of operation and technological innovation but also boldly innovates in modular functionality, aiming to meet the diverse needs of advanced users and makers for multi-material processing.

Unboxing
This time, 3DMart is unboxing the H2D AMS Combo version.
From the moment the outer box is opened, Bambu Lab demonstrates its meticulous care in product shipping protection.
The outer box is sturdy and secure, with latches to prevent it from coming apart, and a well-thought-out accessory arrangement that maximizes space.

After unpacking the outer box, removing the four quick-release fasteners and anti-vibration packaging reveals a very neat internal layout.
The components are systematically arranged according to their function, providing a solid foundation for subsequent installation and debugging.
The contents include: H2D 3D printer / AMS2 Pro / print plate / spool holder, as well as an accessory kit and instruction manual.

Dual Extruders
The H2D features a CoreXY mechanism and a dual-extruder design, largely avoiding the most criticized issues of previous multiplexed models: material and time waste.
The dual-extruder design allows two filaments to be ready simultaneously, greatly saving filament change time.
It also enables printing with two filaments, or even different materials, at the same time, eliminating the hassle of frequent material changes that cause material and time waste.

The back of the machine thoughtfully indicates the filament paths for both extruders, preventing users from making mistakes.
The included spool holder can be used to place filament types that the feeder station cannot handle, such as TPU, or to place support filament without occupying available space in the feeder station.

You can achieve more efficient multi-color or multi-material printing with the advantages of dual extruders.
For example, a single print can produce a complete bicycle saddle combining PAHT-CF and TPU, balancing both aesthetics and functionality.

Faster, Larger, More Convenient
Beneath its aesthetic and robust body, the H2D boasts a maximum printing speed of 1,000 mm/s and acceleration of 20,000 mm/s².
The dual extruders have two hotends positioned side-by-side in one printhead, each connectable to the AMS, and operate at high speed within an extra-large print area of 350 x 320 mm.

H2D's dedicated high-flow hotend ensures reliable high-speed printing at 600mm/s.
Designed for consistent performance, it eliminates mid-print speed limitations, enabling uninterrupted high-speed printing regardless of print size or complexity.

The light strip below the print platform will continuously advance from left to right with your print progress, and will display red light when an error occurs, just like a progress bar.
This interesting design not only enhances the aesthetic and ceremonial atmosphere of the equipment but also allows users to intuitively monitor print progress.

The H2D features 65°C active chamber heating and a high-temperature hotend up to 350°C, providing precise closed-loop temperature control.
This advanced system effectively eliminates warping and deformation of high-performance materials, ensuring excellent layer adhesion and fully unleashing the potential of the materials.
The H2D's hotend is secured by a metal cage clamp – meaning hotend changes are easy and tool-free.

The H2D also features an autonomous cooling and automatic ventilation system.
The vents at the back and top of the machine automatically open during printing, effectively controlling temperature and airflow.

The new user interface displays more useful information, such as the temperature of various parts of the device.
And all filaments on the external spool holder can also be displayed.
This will allow users to more conveniently monitor the device's operating status and quickly troubleshoot problems.

To accommodate the H2D's multi-material printing capabilities, you can easily optimize your available filaments in the Bambu Studio slicing software.
It is divided into three modes: material saving mode, convenience mode, and custom mode.

The Material Saving Mode will provide options to assign your printing filaments to the left or right nozzle, minimizing waste during printing, whether it's setting up dedicated nozzles for the primary material in multi-color prints or for support filaments. This significantly reduces material waste caused by purging.
The Convenience Mode will assign filaments based on their loaded position and usage time, eliminating the need for you to physically juggle spools.
The last of the three is the Custom Mode, which, as the name suggests, allows you to set your own filament assignments and where you want them to do their work.
AMS Smart Automatic Material Station
The newly launched AMS2 Pro smart automatic material station not only features automatic filament changing but also includes a built-in heating device that can dry filaments when not in use, maintaining the optimal state of printing materials.
This design provides high efficiency and reliability for professional applications that require long-term printing and material stability.

Multifunctional Expansion: Laser Engraving, Pen Plotting, and Cutting
The biggest innovation of the H2D lies in its multi-module attachment system.
Users can quickly switch tools as needed.
Laser Engraving: Equipped with 10W or 40W laser options, it can perform precise engraving or direct cutting on different materials, meeting the needs of DIY crafts, prototyping, and small-batch production.
Pen Plotting and Cutting Functions: Through dedicated pen holder modules and blades, precise drawing or manual signing and cutting can be easily achieved, further expanding the device's application in creative design.

User Experience and Application Scenarios
The H2D's performance in practical applications is both surprising and challenging.
High-Precision Printing: Whether for home model printing or professional prototyping, the dual extruder system provides precise control, allowing for smooth and seamless transitions between different materials.
Best Partner for Creative Crafting: From customized gifts to artistic installations, the device's diverse tool combination enables more versatile creative expression.
Material Usage Flexibility: Multifunctional operation and dual-material printing offer great flexibility to users, increasing their understanding of printing parameters and material properties during use.
This is precisely what attracts advanced users and professional makers.
