[3D Printing] No Longer Worried About 3D Modeling Skills? Bambu Lab's New AI Modeling Tool Is Here!

[3D Printing] No More Worries About 3D Modeling Skills? Bambu Lab Launches New AI Modeling Tool!

✨ PrintMon Maker ✨

Bambu Lab launched a new AI-powered 3D model generator, PrintMon Maker. This tool is available on the MakerWorld platform and allows users to create printable 3D characters via text or image prompts.

This AI tool has been in beta since August, aiming to encourage creativity and lower the entry barrier for 3D modeling. Notably, this generative AI platform is optimized for multicolor 3D printing. PrintMon Maker is integrated into Bambu Studio, allowing generated designs to be directly imported into 3D printing slicer software and produced on Bambu Lab's 3D printers without additional adjustments. Eye and base files can also be created separately, allowing users to personalize their 3D printing workflow!

Bambu Lab PrintMon Maker AI Generative Modeling Tool

Bambu Lab's new tool leverages the increasingly popular AI text-to-3D model trend, offering similar functionality to platforms like Meshy.ai, OpenAI Point-E, and DreamFusion. GPU manufacturer Nvidia also joined this industry trend by launching its Magic3D generative AI tool in early 2023. Spare Parts 3D (SP3D) has also expanded on this concept, creating 3D models from 2D technical drawings. The PrintMon Maker announcement banner showcases its new features.

What makes PrintMon so special?

MakerLab Exclusive

✨ Unique PrintMon = AI Powered Tool + Your Creativity
✨ No 3D modeling skills required: Generate unique images with just text or pictures.
✨ Infinite possibilities: Every hatch brings new surprises.
✨ Immediately printable: Pre-colored models, compatible with Bambu Studio, with optional removable parts.

To generate a model in PrintMon Maker, users simply enter a short text prompt or upload an image they wish to replicate,
and an AI algorithm transforms these into Pokémon-style concept models.

Input random text to generate an image

Let's try some random text:
"A rock-type dragon with a rugged, stony body and massive cliff-like wings"
And we get AI-driven images like these:

If we choose the third attempt and click "Hatch it",
a unique pre-colored 3D model will be unlocked, like this.

These AI concepts can be "hatched" and converted into 3D printable meshes for editing in MakerWorld.
Next, simply customize your PrintMon design and print it directly!

The editing platform's user interface is straightforward and friendly for 3D modeling beginners. It allows for color changes, offering four, eight, and twelve color options.
Users can also add bases, reposition and rotate models, and change eye styles.

After completing the design, users can download the model as an OBJ file or open it in Bambu Studio slicing software to prepare for 3D printing. Continuing the Pokémon theme, Bambu Lab claims the experience is like opening a mystery box every time. Typically, exporting each 3D model costs 50 MakerLab points, but this feature is currently offered at a discounted price of 10 points. Users can accumulate MakerWorld points by uploading and downloading models on the website, which can then be redeemed for PrintMon points.

In summary, Bambu Lab's PrintMon Maker brings a revolutionary change to the field of 3D modeling. This tool not only enhances creativity and efficiency but also allows users from all walks of life to easily access advanced 3D printing technology!

Come and experience this exciting new tool!
