We are now excited to announce a major update for EXStar v1.2, which introduces a wealth of new features at a more professional level. 4. More Powerful Features
• Alignment Mode Combinations
Users now have more flexibility when choosing alignment modes. Features, textures, and markers can be combined as desired.

• Auto Cutting Plane
Automatically identify the cutting plane based on the desktop or a flat surface. Data below the cutting plane will not be captured, saving time in post-editing and removing irrelevant noise data.
• Adjust Point Spacing
Point spacing can be freely adjusted during scanning. Increasing point spacing can reduce data volume, while decreasing it can enhance data details.
• Marker/Point Cloud Editing
Markers and point clouds can be edited separately.
• Scan Rewind
Up to 200 frames of scan records can be rewound. Even if an error or alignment issue occurs during scanning, there's no need to rescan everything.
• Mesh Display Type
The display type of the scanned model can be selected as triangles, wireframe, point cloud data, or triangles and wireframe.
• Model Display
Automatically rotate the 3D model according to the current view. The rotation speed can be adjusted as needed.
• Object Mover
A three-axis object mover has been added to precise alignment. Users can easily pan/rotate the model by dragging the mover.
• Quick Alignment
More conveniently align 3D models to the world coordinate system. The aligned coordinate system direction is: Z-axis up, X-axis forward, Y-axis right.
• Marker/Point Cloud Distance Measurement
Supports measuring global markers and point clouds, and results can be saved locally.
• Shining 3D Digital Cloud
Users can upload scan data to the Shining 3D Digital Cloud and share it with others. Supports embedding 3D models for display on webpages. (New users get 5GB of free cloud space)
• 3Dconnexion CadMouse
Supports 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse. After installing 3DxWare software, shortcut key configuration will be automatically enabled.
