Our goal is to help professional users achieve the same surface quality with industrial materials (such as ABS and CPE +) by providing fast and efficient support, similar to soluble supports, while saving time and cost.
3D printing users have the freedom to choose various geometries when using support materials, but there can also be limitations, such as surface defects or extended post-processing time.
Our new product line is mainly designed to overcome these limitations and create a better 3D printing workflow.
Breakaway Filament - Alternative Support Material
Our range of support materials for dual extrusion is gradually expanding.
By offering a range of different support materials, you can choose your post-processing workflow, each with its unique advantages. Our latest support material is Breakaway filament.
Breakaway is a white support material that utilizes reliable adhesion to print materials such as ABS.
Breakaway material can be quickly and easily removed from printed objects: simply grasp the printed object and separate the support with pliers, snips, a knife, or by hand. After removing the support material, the supported area will maintain a smooth surface quality.
Gloves can be used, but are not necessarily required. Although it is a support material, Breakaway can be used with a 0.4 mm AA print core.
Removing Breakaway Supports
Step 1 – Detach
Use pliers or cutting pliers to remove most of the internal support structure.

Step 2 - Peel
Grasp and peel away the Breakaway support from the printed material.

Step 3 - Pull
Use tweezers or pliers to remove any remaining traces. The supported area will have a smooth finish.

Breakaway's post-processing method is completely dry, making it ideal for print materials sensitive to water.
Another advantage is that Breakaway supports can achieve the same surface smoothness as water-soluble supports.
With quick and easy post-processing, designers and engineers can spend more time perfecting their concepts.
Other advantages of Breakaway are its shelf life and price. Breakaway material is unaffected by environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity, and using it is more cost-effective than using other support materials.
Compared to water-soluble materials, Breakaway is compatible with a wider range of print materials:

Detailed examples of when to use different types of support materials are discussed here.
Introducing the 0.25mm AA Print Core - For Printing Super Fine Details
Due to popular demand, we have expanded our print core range.

The new 0.25mm AA print core features an ultra-fine 0.25mm nozzle width.
It is compatible with the Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker 3 Extended, and the 0.25mm AA print core is ideal for prints requiring high-detail surface quality.

The tool on the left was printed with a 0.4mm AA print core, and the tool on the right was printed with a 0.25mm AA print core.
A key advantage of the 0.25mm AA print core is its ability to print fine details and text that are difficult to achieve with other print cores.
Our print core product line will now include AA type.
Users will now have the advantage of ultra-fine printing, as well as the benefits of dual extrusion – allowing for two-color patterns or various material combinations with ultra-fine details. Different nozzle sizes can be quickly and conveniently swapped without the need for any tools.
Potential Applications
The 0.25mm AA print core can be used in a variety of applications, such as aesthetically pleasing printed objects, thin-walled objects, printed labels and fine text, as well as tolerance-fit parts like hardware fasteners such as nuts and bolts.
Potential use cases include microfluidics, dental molds, architectural models, and precision mechanical parts such as small gears.
Material Compatibility
The 0.25 mm AA print core is fully compatible with the following Ultimaker materials:

Ultimaker Cura Configuration Files Make Things Easier
The latest version of Ultimaker Cura includes compatible material and print core profiles for the 0.25 mm AA print core and Breakaway. Each profile is developed by our team of material engineers and consistently guarantees high-quality results, so every user can spend less time experimenting and more time printing.
Pricing and Availability
The 0.25mm AA print core will be sold at a retail price of NT$4800 per item.
Breakaway filament will be sold on 750g spools, with a retail price of NT$2380.
Both items are now available for purchase.
