[Cura Software] 4.10 Latest Version, Ultimaker Firmware Upgrade with 3 New Features!

【Cura Software】The Latest 4.10 Version, Ultimaker Firmware Upgrade with 3 Functions!

Ultimaker Cura's latest 4.10 version introduces new upgrades for Ultimaker Professional and Ultimaker Excellence (Click here to see: Ultimaker's Five Major System Collections, Free Trial of the Professional Version!), further streamlining the 3D printing process. Ultimaker firmware has also released its latest version, improving the system stability of material loading and unloading for the Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle 3D printer paired with the Material Station. After placing a 3D printing file into Ultimaker Cura, you can select "Ungroup" on an object to choose specific parts for individual component 3D printing, or select "Per-model" to simultaneously set and adjust different material details.
(This function is applicable to Ultimaker Professional and Ultimaker Excellence users, and is available for Windows systems.)

In addition to the Ultimaker Cura software update, to ensure a smoother workflow for users, Ultimaker's system firmware has also improved the system to address past issues with 3D printing filaments and 3D printers. Let's look at three functions immediately:

.Filament Parameters: USB Upload, No Internet Required
In the past, when using third-party 3D printing filaments for 3D printing, it was necessary to first use Ultimaker Cura via a computer network to install the filament configuration parameters into the Ultimaker 3D printer. After the firmware update, you can simply insert a USB drive to directly upload and install, allowing you to continue working even without an internet connection.

(Select path: Settings Menu > Import Material Profiles, the system will automatically identify and proceed with 3D printing)

.Automatic Material Deprime, Clean and Unobstructed Tubing
After updating to firmware version 6.5, the system for the Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle 3D printer has been upgraded. After each 3D print or material change, the system will automatically detect the state of the 3D printing filament's end. The Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle will then activate and enhance the "Deprime" process.

This ensures that the 3D printing filament can be unloaded back to the Material Station in a clean, string-free state, effectively preventing problems caused by material blockages and friction, thereby extending the lifespan of the 3D printer.

.ER998 Error Resolution
ER998 (or ER27) is a comprehensive system error. Before the firmware update, if the system displayed an ER998 error, it would directly lead to the touchscreen locking up and becoming unusable. The error could only be cleared by restarting the machine, which would interrupt any ongoing 3D printing.

Now, users do not need to restart the machine; they can click the "Refresh" button in the menu to reset the 3D printer's status, which can significantly increase the success rate of 3D printing.
