【3D Printing Exhibition】NTUT Industrial Design "Water" in Turmoil: Limited Edition Merchandise Unveiled!
The annual Young Designers' Exhibition (YODEX) is an important bridge between Taiwan's industry, academia, and design talent. The "Department of Industrial Design, National Taipei University of Technology" received "25 nominations" for the Golden Pin Design Award among nearly 4,000 entries this year! These include product design, spatial design, social design, and other fields; they will be publicly showcased at the 2021 Young Designers' Exhibition in May, bringing the results of each designer's diligent efforts. Watch the highlight preview now:
"Water" element in three forms, infinite creative imagination

.INFINITY BUBBLE (Nominated for Spatial Design)
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19, Wuhan Pneumonia) continues to spread globally, with one wave after another. New Taiwanese designers, in a relatively safe environment, have designed an epidemic air filtration residence called "Infinity Bubble." The outer layer uses negative pressure and filtration technology to block viruses, and its foldable form facilitates convenient transportation and assembly. It can also change modes according to user needs, effectively responding to post-epidemic demands.

.Algae Cleaner (Nominated for Product Design)
Ocean ecological pollution has always been a global issue. Due to external pollution causing excessive nutrients in rivers, blue-green algae proliferate, stealing sunlight and oxygen from other organisms, leading to the death of river creatures. "Algae Cleaner" uses AI to intelligently patrol water bodies and internal pressurization technology to remove oxygen from blue-green algae, rendering them unable to float. This allows aquatic organisms to consume them, while also inhibiting the spread of blue-green algae, reducing the chance of poisoning for humans and animals, and enhancing the survival advantage of other organisms to maintain ecological balance.

.Island of Light (Nominated for Social Design)
The world faces declining birthrates and an aging population, with one person diagnosed with dementia every three seconds on average. The care period lasts approximately 8 to 10 years, which is a difficult journey for caregivers. "Island of Light," a dementia care toolkit, integrates software and hardware, synchronizes care information with medical professionals, thereby reducing caregiver burden and improving care quality. It is an excellent design for family dementia care and promotes a smart service model in friendly communities.

The nominated design works above are just the tip of the iceberg. 3DMart wishes the NTUT Industrial Design Department a successful exhibition and hopes all nominated works achieve great results! In addition to exhibiting carefully prepared design creations, the designers have also prepared various exclusive designed merchandise, which will be available during the exhibition:
.Exhibition-exclusive, limited edition adorable pets

Due to the overwhelming response, pre-orders for the merchandise closed at the end of April. For those who love them, you can purchase them at the exhibition booth during the exhibition period!
Ball Zoo, Exhibition Period Offer|
1. Single Gashapon Pull / Price $60 (5 random types):
Mr. Cole (duckling), Wilson (seal pup), Gluttonous Shiba (Shiba Inu pup), Biting Dragon (baby dinosaur), Hidden character (exhibition limited)

It is worth mentioning that "Mr. Cole the Duck" from the Ball Zoo, as well as the exhibition-exclusive hidden "mystery guest" gashapon, are both produced by the dual-extrusion system of the Ultimaker S5 industrial 3D printer. It can print two different 3D printing filaments simultaneously, which not only improves production efficiency but also stably and accurately stacks layers according to the design, achieving smooth surfaces and saturated colors. This perfectly combines with the concepts of the NTUT industrial designers! We look forward to your visit and celebrating with all the designers!

Here's a little secret from the editor: a limited-edition hidden "Ball Zoo" character is available only during the exhibition! As long as you come to the exhibition in person, you'll have a chance to get your hands on this "mystery guest." Even if you have to go out of your way, you absolutely can't miss it. Make sure to come and try your luck at the exhibition. See you there!
