[3D Printing Application] BCN Customized Machine Parts: Annual Production Line Cost Savings of 320,000!

【3D Printing Application】Customized BCN Mechanical Parts: Saving NT$320,000 in Production Costs Annually!

Saving NT$320,000 annually? Lead time reduced from four weeks to one week! French company "MCE Metrology" utilizes BCN3D Independent Dual Extruder (IDEX) 3D printing technology to meet 95% of customization needs across various industries, moving away from traditional manufacturing methods. They produce a large number of auxiliary measuring machines. See the production line secret here:

Founded in 1995, French company "MCE Metrology" produces a large number of dimensional measurement machines. Its applications range from automotive and medical to dental and oral fields, providing customized equipment, technology, and services. Initially, using traditional processing techniques, it took the team an average of "four weeks" to compare results for each object produced. To manufacture a large number of customized measuring machines, the critical step of producing "prototypes" is very important, requiring both rapid production and ensuring product quality.

The team uses the BCN3D Epsilon W27 3D printer, with its unique IDEX (Independent Dual Extruders) dual-nozzle 3D printing system, offering "Duplication" and "Mirror" modes. The two nozzle systems are completely separate and operate independently, meaning their movements do not interfere with each other during operation. This highly efficient and free movement achieves double the productivity.

"Since integrating BCN3D's Independent Dual Extruder (IDEX) technology into our production line, lead times have been shortened from the original four weeks to one week. This gives the team ample time for testing, adjustment, and modification, successfully meeting 95% of customized demands across various industries. Thanks to the BCN3D series 3D printers, we save up to NT$320,000 in production costs annually!" said Claire Teulier, Operations Sales Manager at MCE Metrology.

The MCE Metrology team uses PLA, Tough PLA, and ABS filaments, and alternately uses water-soluble support materials and carbon fiber filaments to enhance the strength and stability of objects. They also continue to research and use flexible soft materials to produce outer casings for mechanical parts.

Using the BCN3D Smart Cabinet for 3D Filament (SC), with its uninterruptible power supply (UPS) function, ensures that equipment operation is not affected by external power fluctuations, thereby improving the success rate of every 3D print.

Did you enjoy this sharing? By combining BCN3D printers with IDEX technology, MCE Metrology has successfully elevated its customized production services to a whole new level! We believe it will continue to expand to more industries producing mechanical parts in the future. 3DMART offers more than just 3D printing.
