[3D Printed Item Sharing] Childhood Memories Come to Life!

Do you remember how much you loved to doodle in your textbooks when you were little, drawing strange-looking alien creatures and fantasy monsters, and then naming each one of them (Yay! I can choose the names myself! What should I call them? Let's call them Da Zhongtian (just kidding))? Have you ever imagined that one day these things could become real and appear before your eyes? Designer Leo Haslam did it. “It all started when I was a kid. Throughout my childhood, I was always drawing monsters or molding strange aliens out of clay. Eventually, I discovered ZBrush, which opened my eyes to the world of digital art, and I've been fascinated ever since.” Ultimaker specifically invited Leo to design some prototype creations for them to showcase 3D printing. After some brainstorming, the hybrid biological squad shown above was created – "Poachers," and the STL files are freely available for everyone to share!

Below, let's admire Cortex, one of the warriors we printed. The machine used this time was the Ultimaker 2+, and the material used was ESUN PLA+ Light Blue. Leo had previously searched for many machines that could not meet his quality requirements, and it was the Ultimaker 2 that drew him into the world of 3D printing!

This handsome gorilla warrior is named Cortex. He's like a towering mountain of synthetic muscle, possessing immense physical ability and destructive power. Just look at how even his supports look cooler than others – that tells you how formidable he is!

ESUN's PLA+ has higher melt strength than regular PLA, performing well even in unsupported areas and effectively reducing stringing!

After removing the supports, the light blue color is saturated and clear, like a pristine sky or ocean.

From the back, you can observe that this color makes the shadows of the object more pronounced, and the layers and lines are more clearly visible!

It's also worth mentioning that ESUN's PLA+ improves the material's toughness, not only making the filament less prone to breaking but also increasing the strength of the finished product!

Using the 0.6mm nozzle of the Ultimaker 2+ Olsson Block allows for stable settings with thicker layers, enabling you to print your objects faster!
