The Matterport 3D scanner can be paired with all iOS devices (e.g., iPhone, iPad). Used with a camera tripod, it can quickly 3D scan spaces of various sizes with just one click, instantly generating a 134-megapixel 3D virtual space.
Each time a 3D scan is initiated, the Matterport 3D scanner rotates on its tripod, turning 6 times at 60-degree increments to complete a 360-degree rotation. Depending on the indoor area, you can scan various parts of the space to capture the most complete details, and then easily share it online via a link.
After completing the 3D panoramic scan, in addition to being able to select points and move within the 3D space, you can also freely switch to dollhouse mode to view the exterior, close-up interior mode for free movement, and a top-down planar view for a clear understanding of the space layout. A special feature is the built-in MATTERTAGS function, which allows you to individually tag each item in the space, enabling viewers to click and see detailed introductions.
Matterport's built-in measuring tool allows you to click on any wall, door, or window with a mouse after the 3D scan is complete. The system will automatically display the measurement results based on the user's selected range; all dimensions within the indoor space can be easily grasped, so you no longer have to worry about furniture not fitting.
