Hello everyone~
Among 3D printing filaments, the most special right now are arguably metal-filled 3D filaments. The texture of metal-filled 3D printing filaments is greatly improved after sanding and polishing! Let's take a look at the comparison in the image below~
Our metal-filled 3D printing filaments come in bronze, copper, brass, and stainless steel; the post-processing methods are all the same, so you don't need to buy different tools for different metal 3D printing materials :)
Today, I'll share with you the post-processing methods for metal-filled 3D printing filaments and the auxiliary tools needed. With these combinations, the finished products can evoke an artistic atmosphere reminiscent of ancient artifacts.
You can see the difference between before and after processing in the images below~

Aren't you excited? Want to try metal filaments soon~? XD
There are two steps to post-processing: the first step is sanding, followed by polishing.
Step 1 Sanding: The main purpose is to smooth out the layered surface of the print, making it sleek.
Tools: (Choose 1 or 2)
1. Sandpaper: It is recommended to use grit 220~240
2. Sanding sponge/sanding block
3. Small electric grinder: When choosing a small electric grinder, pay attention to its horsepower; too little horsepower will require more time for grinding, while too much horsepower combined with improper control can result in an uneven surface on the print, which would be a tragedy!

Step 2 Polishing: Use tools to bring out the inherent luster of the metal!Tools: (1 is sufficient)
1. Steel wool: It is recommended to use #2; the higher the number, the coarser the steel wool.
2. Wool polishing head (requires use with an electric tool): When using a wool polishing head with an electric tool, be careful not to continuously polish the same spot, as it can easily turn black~
3. Rotary tumbler: High price, but the advantage is that your hands won't get tired XD

We aim for maximum benefit with the lowest budget, so whether it's sandpaper plus steel wool or a sanding sponge plus steel wool, it's all under two hundred NTD!
Finally~ apply brass polish and you're done~ :)
