[3D Printing Unboxing] Do 3D Printed Objects Also Need a Spa Treatment?!
Modern people are busy and stressed. After a hard week, men might want to unwind with some alcohol, while women might prefer a steam spa to relieve physical and mental fatigue.
But you'd never guess that 3D printed objects might also need alcohol and a spa treatment?!
Polymaker's new product, PolySmooth™, is a new material that can be polished with alcohol.
Its printing conditions are almost identical to PLA, and it boasts easy printing, extremely low warping, good mechanical strength, and easy support removal.
Most importantly, it can be used with Polysher™, a cool and easy-to-use alcohol vapor polishing machine, to eliminate layer lines and create a smooth surface quality!
The Polysher was a popular product that was crowdfunded on Kickstarter last year, highly anticipated for its ability to eliminate the troublesome layer lines of 3D prints.
This year, their product is finally in mass production and has been launched! 3DMART is the official distributor for this product series in Taiwan and Hong Kong!
To celebrate the launch of the new product! For partners who order and pay for a Polysher before July 7, 2017, we will give you a roll of PolySmooth material! This is an amazing offer, so please spread the word!
Alright, without further ado, let's take a look at the photos! Our brand new unboxed PolySher and PolySmooth samples printed with an Ultimaker 3D printer!

The Polysher's outer box is quite small, but its functionality is very complete. Let's open it up and take a look!

Opening the box reveals the complete packaging, with cardboard padding on all sides to prevent damage during shipping!

The machine itself is actually pre-assembled! You can take it out and start using it directly!

All the included parts, including the base, alcohol tank lid, and multiple country plugs, allow you to take it with you around the world!

The control interface is very simple! The power button is on the bottom right, the platform lift control is on the top left, the light is on the top right, and the polishing time is controlled by the knob in the middle top.

After injecting alcohol, it's ready to use! Below, let's look at the new material!

Has everyone seen the Marvel movie series? My two favorite characters are Spider-Man and Iron Man, and their new movies are coming out in July!
The impatient editor immediately used a Lulzbot Mini to print a head to satisfy the craving!

Look at that blank stare, I can feel the protagonist's inner fatigue. Without further ado, let's help him "relax" a bit!

It feels so comfortable bathing in alcohol vapor...気持ちいい~~~

Ta-da~~~ Doesn't the steam polishing make it look completely refreshed? The original listless expression is gone, replaced with spirit and vitality!

As a hero, you work hard to save the world every day. Now it's our turn to save you from your layer lines!

Maintaining a consistently cool pose as he walks into the trap. Usually, Spider-Man sprays villains; today, it's his turn to be sprayed all over!

Ah... so much alcohol and steam... it makes me want to go in and steam myself too... (just kidding)... look at him, all sweaty... damn... I want to...

Oh my god, this steamed Spider-Man looks so delicious, glowing all over, like he's transformed from Spider-Man into +10 Spider-Man, so powerful!

I printed it again with the Lulzbot Mini, but some marks are still visible where the supports were removed.

But after being sprayed by Polysher, the surface becomes spotless, even more amazing than any laser light or hyaluronic acid!!!

Next, we also made the bottom bracket parts for bicycles that we usually print to test materials. Let's see how the effect turns out?

After leaving it in the Polysher for 10 minutes, there's a noticeable effect. I really wish steaming my face could polish my skin too...

With such a smooth surface, even if it were directly used on a bicycle, no one would think it was a 3D printed object!
