[3D Printing Workshop] 2025 NTU Electrical Engineering MakeNTU Hackathon Workshop: 3DMart Lends a Helping Hand to Participants!

【3D Printing Workshop】Review of MakeNTU 2025 NTU EE Makerthon Workshop

We are delighted to once again participate in MakeNTU 2025, the NTU Electrical Engineering Makerthon.
To ensure the smooth running of the Makerthon competition in May, students first attended a workshop on the basic concepts and knowledge of 3D printing. The goal was to ensure they could successfully apply this knowledge on the competition day. The 3DMart team provided slicing software tutorials, as well as introductions and guidance on physical equipment.

Make NTU
MakeNTU 2025 is themed "hEphaEstus."
hEphaEstus is derived from Hephaestus, the god of fire and blacksmiths in ancient Greek mythology. As a symbol of creativity and craftsmanship, Hephaestus excelled at transforming various materials into powerful and practical tools and equipment to solve challenges.
This embodies the Maker spirit promoted by Make NTU: combining software and hardware technology with creativity, daring to explore and innovate, and creating unique and practical works.

We hope that participants, like Hephaestus, will bravely face challenges, apply their learned knowledge and skills to real-world situations, and make good use of existing hardware and software technologies to transform their ideas into practical creations, utilizing their creativity to solve real problems.
Through continuous discovery and creation, they will realize the original intention of MakeNTU – We need it, we make it.

Pre-competition Workshop
This workshop provided instruction on the Bambu Lab 3D printer series: X1 Carbon ComboP1S Combo, and X1E 3D printers.

Bambu Lab 3D printers are known for theircombination of printing speed and quality, along withvery simple and intuitive software operation, making them ideal for intense and compact competition environments.
In the past, 3D printer installation, calibration, testing, slicing software, and tedious parameter settings used to take a lot of time. With Bambu Lab, this can be completed in 20-30 minutes.

This allows participants to bring various creative ideas to life in a short amount of time. Contestants can print finished products relying on its powerful features without requiring overly professional knowledge, thus enabling them to focus more on product design itself, realize their innovative concepts, and transform them into concrete practical works.

In addition to introducing the features and usage of the equipment, the instructor meticulously explained the steps for using the slicing software "Bambu Studio" and the various printing parameters for different objects.
This includes: layer height, infill density, support structures, printing speed, and more.

Students can also observe our samples on-site, directly applying or providing feedback in their competition works.

We hope that the contestants can fully unleash their potential and create amazing works through the accumulation of knowledge and experience!
