3D scanning expert SHINING 3D has launched its latest generation of versatile handheld 3D scanners, including the new EinScan Pro 2X and 2X Plus. In addition to releasing new software called ExScan Pro, both new models also come equipped with the Shining3D version of Solid Edge software.

"Thanks to feedback from thousands of users and valuable input from SHINING 3D's internal R&D team, the EinScan Pro 2X and 2X Plus have achieved significant advancements in scanning speed, accuracy, and functionality," said Oscar Meza, VP of Global Sales at SHINING 3D. "We have made major breakthroughs in scanning speed and data precision. The EinScan Pro 2X series is designed to enhance high-quality and efficient 3D digital modeling."

With handheld rapid scanning, the EinScan Pro 2X and 2X Plus 3D scanners can process up to 1,500,000 points/second (30 fps), and fixed-scan accuracy reaches up to 0.04 mm. Both scanners offer multiple scanning modes and alignment modes (to align and image the results of individual scans). In addition, both the EinScan Pro 2X and 2X Plus offer plug-and-play installation and are fully compatible with various additional accessories, including a texture camera for full-color scanning (Color Pack), a tripod and automatic turntable for fixed scanning (Industrial Pack), and a high-resolution accessory (HD Prime Pack).

In terms of software, SHINING 3D's newly released ExScan Pro offers faster scanning results and a new UI interface and workflow. According to SHINING 3D, using ExScan Pro makes seemingly complex 3D scanning "as simple as shooting a video." New features also include specifying resolution during the digital processing procedure.

Not only that, both new machines come with another new software: SHINING 3D version of Solid Edge, a design tool that integrates CAD, reverse engineering, generative design, and simulation functions. It is the result of a collaborative development with Siemens PLM Software.
SHINING 3D stated that the new products will significantly improve the efficiency and quality of designers, engineers, and researchers in 3D engineering; and contribute to fields such as art, healthcare, industry, and cultural heritage preservation.

By using a 3D printer, such as the latest Ultimaker S5, to print the 3D scanned files, customized products can be created, effectively saving time and cost.
SHINING 3D just launched these two latest products at Formnext 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany, and they are now available for order at 3DMart!
