Do you enjoy playing video games? If you're a gamer, then you must have played the once-popular World of Warcraft, right?
Do you still remember Durotan, the formidable character in World of Warcraft?

This time, at the Maker Faire 2017 exhibition, we specially brought him along for a mission, and he really caught everyone's attention!
Let me show you the printing process and detailed photos!

This time, we used Ultimaker series 3D printers (left is Ultimaker 3 Extended, right is Ultimaker 3) for printing, printing with both simultaneously was faster.
The dual-nozzle design allowed us to use Ultimaker PLA Silver and Ultimaker PVA water-soluble support material. The settings were a layer height of 0.15mm and an infill of 20%. The total printing time was 150 hours.

The image shows the upper body of the main model after 3D printing.

The image shows the 3D printed parts for the hands and feet.
After printing, carefully remove it from the 3D printer, then just put it in water and wait for the PVA support material to slowly dissolve. The dissolution time is about 20 hours. After dissolving, just assemble the various parts, and you're done!
Now, let's admire the finished print!

Look at the mighty roaring Durotan, how impressive!

The facial expressions and upper body details were all meticulously printed.

There are also many fur details on the back, and none of them were missed.

Here's another side view of Durotan, those chest muscles are really impressive! Hehe.

Even the cracks on the axe were printed, it's incredibly realistic!!!
Not impressed enough? We also took 360-degree photos, so you can slowly rotate and admire it yourself!
