[3D Printing Application] 3D Printing Leader Ultimaker Honored with Two ISO International Certifications

【3D Printing Application】3D Printing LeaderUltimaker Receives Two ISO International Certifications

We are pleased to share Ultimaker's milestone in localizing digital manufacturing: Ultimaker has officially obtained ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management certifications.

.What do these international certifications represent?
Both are international standard certifications, which means Ultimaker is not just a 3D printing company, but also represents professional, high-quality 3D printers, and is a fully qualified and trustworthy supplier in terms of quality and environmental aspects.

.What is ISO 9001?
ISO 9001: The latest 2015 certification requires companies to demonstrate a quality management system for all end-point processes that can provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements, and improve customer satisfaction through effective application systems.

.What is ISO 14001?
ISO 14001: The latest 2015 certification requires companies to manage environmental aspects according to the new High-Level Structure (HLS, which is the architectural requirement for ISO management system standards) and applies to all management systems, for example: enabling companies to achieve sustainable development.

.Audit Team: BSI Group Certification
Headquartered in the UK, BSI is a founding member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO); BSI Group collaborated with Ultimaker, providing comprehensive guidance at every stage. To obtain the latest 2015 certification, Ultimaker's corporate headquarters and global subsidiaries underwent rigorous review by assessed independent auditors (with professional backgrounds in the automotive industry, Philips, and ASML). Ultimately, Ultimaker's management system demonstrated quality and environmental measures that exceeded requirements, greatly impressing the audit team.

.Exceeding Expectations
Management procedures in each Ultimaker department were evaluated against various factors of the latest ISO 9001 – from organizational risk to supply chain management. BSI auditors found zero "major non-conformities" and only one "minor non-conformity" in the Ultimaker system, which was rectified before certification.

The audit team even commented that it is very rare to find such a highly qualified yet relatively young company.

Also impressive were the visual data for Ultimaker's "Qualitative Measurement R&R"; while it sounds complex, it is simply a method used to analyze measurement systems, aiming to record the size and type of errors occurring during measurement.
The auditors had heard of this advanced method and its benefits before, but had never seen it used by other companies; thus, they were highly impressed by Ultimaker's leadership position in the 3D printing industry.
Jasmar, a BSI Group auditor, stated: "This achievement demonstrates Ultimaker's commitment to providing world-class products and customer experience, while also meeting the highest environmental management standards; Ultimaker's continuous improvement and the high maturity of its management system particularly impressed us."

.Continued Growth in the Future
Matthew Burtt, Ultimaker's QA Manager who led the certification program, emphasized: "Receiving certification is just a good start. Ultimaker will continue to refine and strengthen risk management, prioritizing user benefits and experience."

Jos Burger, CEO of Ultimaker, stated: "These ISO certifications represent Ultimaker's determination to promote the global adoption of desktop 3D printing by businesses; and the excellent results in testing standards highlight customer satisfaction, risk management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement as core values of Ultimaker. As 3D printing impacts global industries, Ultimaker grows while continuously providing feedback in the process, helping to transform the industry and accelerate towards a future of smart manufacturing."

3DMART, as the general agent for Ultimaker in Taiwan, is delighted to see them receive this international certification honor; our professional staff participate in Ultimaker factory training annually, and will continue to provide everyone with better service and 3D printing quality in the future.
