II. Powering On/Off
The UR3 automated robotic arm is a robotic arm that mimics human arm joints. Its modular design allows 360-degree rotation around the cylindrical area at the center of the base joint.
1. Powering on the touchscreen: Press the "Power ON" button on the Universal Robots touchscreen control panel.
2. Restarting power: Click the "Power Off" icon in the bottom left corner.
3. Powering on the robotic arm: Click "Power On" and wait for the robotic arm to boot up and fully activate all systems.
III. Basic Settings (Robotic Arm)
The UR3 automated robotic arm is set up by defining each path's "action" as needed, then linking all functional actions together to create a series of cyclical movements for the overall operation.
1. Set script actions: Press "Program."
2. Set path: Click "Move" > "Set Waypoint."
3. Screen display: Robotic arm movement path.
4. Set Key Pose: Press the "Free Drive" button to set/move the robotic arm joints to the desired position. (The "Free Drive" button unlocks the robotic arm motors, allowing the arm joints to move.)
5. Repeat step "4" to set all specified actions.
6. Preview action: After the script is complete, click "Play" to preview the action (for initial actions, it is recommended to slow down the speed or use simulation mode for testing).
7. Reset action: Click "Run Program from Start" (hold the button to return the robotic arm to its starting position).
8. Start operation: Click "Play from Start."
