Upgrade your Ultimaker 3 to firmware version 4.3 to get the latest features and a better Cura Connect experience.
The latest firmware version provides your hardware with new, easy-to-use features and better integration between Cura Connect and Ultimaker Cura.
● Control the Ultimaker 3 interface with a wired USB mouse
● Pause, resume, and abort print jobs directly from Cura Connect
● Monitor and control USB-initiated print jobs via Cura Connect
New Embedded Features
Connect a mouse
You can now plug a wired USB mouse into the Ultimaker 3's USB slot to act as an alternative to the Ultimaker 3's front panel button. Move the mouse in the X/Y direction to navigate menus, then left-click to confirm your selection.
Inspired by our community, we added this feature to make it easier for users with physical disabilities, who may have difficulty using the Ultimaker 3's buttons for precise selections.
New Cura Connect Features
Extended Language Support. With the help of our community, we have extended language support for Cura Connect to include English, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Turkish, and Polish, making it easily accessible to users worldwide. Cura Connect's display language is affected by your browser's language settings – to view in a different language, simply change your browser's language.
Optimized JavaScript bundle.js. The size of JavaScript bundle.js has been reduced, speeding up Cura Connect page loading times for a better user experience.
Material color and type. Print jobs sliced for generic materials can now be printed on any grouped printer with a compatible material type, regardless of brand or color. This aligns more closely with Ultimaker Cura's slicing behavior.
Pause, Resume, and Abort. Jobs can be paused, resumed, or aborted within Cura Connect, providing users with remote control.
Manage Jobs. Previously, only jobs submitted from Ultimaker Cura's "Print via Network" function could be registered in the Cura Connect interface. With this update, jobs started from USB and jobs re-printed after failure can also be registered, including the ability to view messages or pause them.
Custom Confirmation Dialogs. Previous versions of Cura Connect used default JavaScript dialogs. The new version replaces them with new custom pop-up components, aligning the language, look, and feel with Ultimaker Cura for a better user experience.
Mobile View. The mobile view has been optimized for clear display on small screens.
Firmware Version Visibility. The firmware version of each printer in a group can now be seen on the printer details page, providing users with a centralized overview of firmware updates.
Bug Fixes
● Implemented new rules to prevent printers from being added to groups they already belong to
● Fixed various issues where a group host could be "stolen" and added to other groups
● Fixed a bug where re-working after "Move to top" or "Overwrite configuration" options did not function
● Stopped Microsoft Edge browser from formatting IP addresses as phone numbers
● Fixed a bug where starting Cura Connect would automatically restart the last object if the printer lost power during the "Clear Build Plate" prompt
Make full use of your Ultimaker 3
When your printer is connected to the network, you can easily update the firmware on your Ultimaker 3.
Simply navigate to System > Maintenance > Update Firmware > Official Version, then wait for the update process to complete.

If your Ultimaker 3 is not connected to the network, you can still update the firmware to the latest version using USB.
