[3D Printing News] The Official Ultimaker Cura 4.3 Full Version is Now Available for Download!

[3D Printing News] Ultimaker Cura 4.3 Official Version Now Available for Download!

After receiving extensive feedback on the previous beta version, the new official Ultimaker Cura 4.3 is now released. It's continuously updated and completely free, with a download link at the end! Let's see what confirmed new features are in Cura 4.3.

Using S-Series 3D Printers
The new Cura 4.3 version now includes parameter settings for the newly released S-series 3D printers, including the Ultimaker S3 3D printer and the integrated full system of the Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle. It seamlessly integrates Ultimaker Cura, Connect, and Ultimaker Cloud for remote control, making your 3D printing workflow more convenient.

(The new Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle system's Material Station offers a choice of six filament spools, which are conveniently displayed in Cura through the seamless integration system.)

More 3D File Formats
The new Cura 4.3 supports more file formats than before, allowing you to directly integrate CAD drawings, 3D scans, and 3D model files into your workflow. Examples include Collada, GLTF, OpenCTM, and PLY. You can also download more plugin support from the "Marketplace."

Align to Print Bed
One of the features introduced in the beta version, this allows you to select the desired bottom 3D print plane and align it with one click, saving the trouble of rotating and positioning. This overcomes the difficulty of selecting faces in complex objects.

Adjust Support Angle
Must support and infill patterns always be equilateral triangles? If you have other needs, you can now set the desired angle for these line types in the new Cura 4.3.

Random Infill
By randomizing the starting point of infill lines on each layer, this feature evenly distributes the object's strength and surface smoothness. However, it will slightly increase 3D print time.

Small Object Optimization
For printing ultra-small objects with holes or vertical structures, due to the small contact area at the bottom, they are more prone to detaching from the build plate. This setting can slow down the printing speed, specifically improving stability and success rate for small objects.

Custom Z-Seam
Custom Z-seam settings have been added to the "Custom Mode" menu. You can adjust it according to your object's needs, for example, by placing the Z-seam inside the object to make the prototype more aesthetically pleasing.

Colorblind Assistance
To make Cura slicing software accessible to colorblind users, a new extension plugin differentiates color contrasts. For example, the yellow and green lines in the layer view are made more distinct, allowing them to freely use 3D printing.

Bug Fixes
This version addresses some issues previously reported by users, including bug fixes for delayed icons when closing programs, among others. Thanks to feedback from millions of users worldwide, Cura slicing software can provide a better experience with each update.
