【3D Printing News】Latest Ultimaker Firmware 4.1 Update Released!
Our new firmware version adds new features and printing performance to your Ultimaker 3 and Cura Connect.
This includes new profiles for our latest print nozzles and support materials, improving and enhancing the 3D printing experience.
What's New in Firmware 4.1?
Added profile for 0.25mm AA print nozzle. This new print nozzle profile, paired with the new 0.25mm AA print core, can be used to print finer lines or achieve high-precision printing.
Added profile for Breakaway material. Adds the print material profile to the printer's material menu. This new profile includes optimized settings for Breakaway support material, a dry post-processing material that can be quickly and easily removed from printed objects, speeding up the production workflow.
Extruder 2 nozzle temperature calibration. The precision of print nozzle temperature control has been significantly improved, addressing the issue where Extruder 2's temperature was slightly lower than Extruder 1's.
Display print time. The print time clock display has been changed to align with the time specifications in Ultimaker Cura and Cura Connect.
Print quality improvement. Previous firmware versions might cause print defects when the buffer was underloaded. This could be seen when printing many short lines or high-speed sections on the Ultimaker 3.
Cura Connect
New language support. Added support for the following languages: Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, Finnish, Polish, Turkish, and Simplified Chinese.
Host icon. A new tooltip has been added to inform about the unavailability of a printer on the print job page.
UUID list. UUID numbers have been added to printers and print jobs in the Web UI to assist with automated testing.
Fixed navigator. For larger screens (770 pixels or more), the navigator will be fixed to the top of the page when the user scrolls down. When opening the printer details panel on the "Printers" page, scrolling up the page ensures the panel remains visible.
Better tooltips. Tooltip text has been modified to be more readable.
Bug Fixes
Time synchronization. New endpoints on the printer side enable remote verification of service updates to the system time on the printer, resolving annual error issues and improving the accuracy of maintenance cases and internal logs.
Critical failure, stop activity. In the event of a critical failure, all activities will stop, including stopping the print nozzles.
Marlin buffer underload. Fixed an issue preventing the Marlin planner buffer from being filled at all times, improving print quality on the Ultimaker 3.
