[3D Printing News] Latest Ultimaker Cura 4.1 Official Version Released, Free Download!
From now on, all 3D printing experts can officially use the latest Ultimaker Cura 4.1. The official team has improved this powerful 3D slicing software into a simple and intuitive interface, making it easy to use cloud connectivity, Ultimaker material profiles, and more special 3D printing filaments. Whether your system is Windows, Mac, or Linux, you can download it for free. Thanks to user feedback from the Cura 4.1 beta, the official version allows for smoother pre-3D printing workflow. Let's introduce the following features:

Free Panel
Onboarding Wizard
The new Ultimaker Cura provides a new onboarding process. Not only does it have a more integrated appearance with the overall interface, but these step-by-step instructions also help users understand how to add a 3D printer, adjust basic settings, understand Ultimaker Cloud, and other features.
(The new user tutorial in the latest Ultimaker Cura 4.1 allows users to quickly understand various basic functions.)
Material Guide
To help users view material information and maximize 3D printing quality, a small book icon is displayed next to the selected material, guiding you to detailed online information. This is convenient for professional engineers to understand material properties, or you can refer to our 3D printing filament comparison guide in our tutorials.Enhanced Prime Tower Functionality
When using dual extrusion printing, the prime tower effectively prevents the two materials from mixing, resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing finish. In the new Cura 4.1, you can use "Brim" on the prime tower – even if your object doesn't use the "Adhesion" feature. By increasing adhesion, the prime tower will be more stable throughout the printing process.
(You can add "Brim" to the prime tower even when the 3D printed object itself does not have an adhesion brim enabled.)
Gyroid Support
The gyroid support, previously developed by Smartavionics, is a design that facilitates the penetration of water-soluble PVA. Due to its interconnected and porous pattern, it helps accelerate dissolution. In the improved version of the new Cura 4.1, if you use Ultimaker Breakaway or other non-water-soluble support materials, it will be easier to grip when removing them.

(Gyroid support was designed for water-soluble PVA materials, but in the new version, it is easier to grip even with non-water-soluble materials.)
Cloud Development
In the list of added printers, you can find Ultimaker 3D printers paired with individual accounts, and even use other network connections. The Ultimaker Cura remote monitor is also more stable, becoming a global Ultimaker 3D printer that you can control from anywhere. When you log into your account, the Ultimaker Cloud control list will automatically appear, making it easy to manage various cloud tools.

In the Ultimaker "Marketplace" option, it links with suppliers and profile files from the Ultimaker Material Alliance, making it easier to purchase and use the special materials you need. When there are updates to plugins or print profiles in the "Marketplace", the "Marketplace" button and the installed plugin options will display notification icons, allowing you to always get the latest versions and features.
(The Ultimaker Marketplace now has notification icons to keep you updated with the latest features.)
Free Download
