【Cura Software】Version 4.9: Seamless Integration, One-Time Slicing and Upload!
Ultimaker Cura has been updated to version 4.9. In addition to enhancing the stability of the previous system, and to provide users with more convenient and faster 3D printing quality, the Cura slicing software has been integrated with Ultimaker Digital Factory, introducing the new "Ultimaker Digital Library" system. This system allows you to directly open and upload files to the online platform within the Cura interface, eliminating the need to switch between pages, saving pre-processing time, and enabling remote control online. You can start 3D printer operations even when you're not in the studio. Check out the nine new features:
.Seamless Software Integration: Ultimaker Digital Library
Before starting 3D printing, users need to set the model's detailed parameters in Ultimaker Cura slicing software as required. Then, the sliced 3D file is uploaded via Wi-Fi to the Ultimaker Digital Library to remotely start Ultimaker 3D printing (USB upload is also an option).

With the latest Cura 4.9 version, users can directly open files from the Digital Library within Ultimaker Cura software. After setting up, files can be directly exported to Ultimaker Digital Factory > Digital Library, eliminating the need to switch between pages, further saving pre-processing time and greatly improving efficiency.

(In the Ultimaker Digital Library, you can choose private access or online sharing of 3D printing files.)
In the latest Cura 4.9 version, Ultimaker has upgraded the detailed settings and visual display of models, improving 3D printing accuracy and the correctness of viewing details. The eight features include:
1. Automatic Preview Without Manual Operation: Line Type Mode
In previous versions of Cura, when selecting Preview mode, you could switch to Line Type mode, where the system would display different structures like infill, supports, and printed objects using different colored lines. With the updated version, users no longer need to switch manually; Line Type preview is now the default mode, making it clear at a glance upon entering the interface.

2. Automatic Display of 3D Print Start Point
The Ultimaker Cura display system enhances model detail viewing, and the system automatically displays the actual 3D print start point. Users can check the path during pre-production to improve the success rate of each 3D print.
3. Layer Seam, Mark for Inspection
During the 3D printing filament process, due to stacking and extrusion, there will be slight seams between materials. The system will display these with a "white Z-shaped" icon, with small markers visible on each layer. Users can check in real-time whether the seams are completely hidden to ensure the quality of the 3D printed product.

4. Latest Features, Real-time Prompts
When logging into Ultimaker Cura, a new "hint light" appears on the interface, allowing you to check for updated features at any time.
5. Weight Estimation (in percentages)
This allows users to understand the amount of material used in detail, particularly useful for complex, small-sized objects.
6. Added Third-Party 3D Printer Configurations
Ultimaker has added space for 18 third-party 3D printers to be set up, saving operational time and improving efficiency.
