The Shining 3D EinStar comes with a dedicated "calibration board." Before starting 3D scanning, simply follow the software instructions and align with the scanning frame to easily complete the system calibration. The quick calibration is divided into two steps; a total of 5 different angles (top, front-left, rear-left, front-right, rear-right) need to be captured. For white balance, slowly and steadily move the scanning device up and down. When the software prompts for an appropriate height, the scanning device will automatically capture and complete white balance calibration.

For this test, we scanned a Thanos gauntlet, approximately 30cm high. It's recommended to use a turntable for assistance, allowing free rotation of the model. It took only about 20 minutes to capture all the intricate details. Since the gemstones on the Thanos gauntlet are transparent, it's recommended to use AESUB Orange 3D Scanning Spray. III. Software Operation
The EXStar software interface is visual and user-friendly, with built-in advanced software functions and guided scanning features, making it easy to acquire complete, high-quality point cloud data. After the calibration steps are completed, you enter the scanning phase, where the scanning mode offers scene modes for both people and objects. You can choose the most suitable scene based on the current situation.

The device has start/stop scanning buttons. The preview window shows a real-time focus preview, with the central area displaying the live scanning image. The leftmost area indicates the appropriate scanning distance range, the bottom indicates "too close," and the top indicates "too far." Try to keep the distance within the middle range.

After the scan is complete, use the built-in tools such as rectangle/polygon/lasso selection to delete unwanted areas. Then, click to generate the point cloud.

After ensuring that there are no other irrelevant objects in the scanned item, click on "Model Enclosure." Select "Fully Enclosed Model," and the export format can be chosen from PLY, OBJ, STL, or 3MF.
