Bambu Engineering Plate Series
Bambu Lab Engineering Plate
One printing plate for all filaments
With just a layer of glue, the Engineering Plate is compatible with all our filament series, making it the perfect solution when you're unsure which plate to use.
Durable and Smooth Surface Coating
The new coating significantly enhances the print plate's temperature resistance, scratch resistance, and corrosion resistance. This plate is designed to withstand long periods of high-temperature printing, as well as hundreds of washes and peels, with its smooth and reliable surface ensuring consistent adhesion every time.
Smooth and Natural Surface Finish
The smooth bottom coating can give the bottom surface of printed objects a smooth and flat texture, blending better with other surfaces.
Considerations
1. Before printing with any filament, it is recommended to apply glue to the Engineering Plate. Applying solid glue can facilitate part removal, but due to its certain thickness and difficulty in even application, print stability and first-layer quality are often not as good as with liquid glue. On the other hand, liquid glue may increase the difficulty of part removal. You should choose the appropriate glue type based on the filament, printing environment, and other practical circumstances. 2. When removing prints with a scraper, always use the correct method. If the model adheres too tightly to the print bed, you can apply alcohol to the interface between the model and the bed to reduce adhesion and make removal easier. This helps prevent damage to the model, print bed, or user injury from excessive force.
3. Increasing the hotbed temperature can enhance adhesion. Users need to adjust the hotbed temperature according to specific needs to achieve the best adhesion.
4. For X1 series, P1 series, and A1 printers, before auto-leveling, it is necessary to repeatedly wipe the nozzle within the print bed's wiper area to thoroughly remove any residual material from the nozzle tip. The coating in the wiper area will gradually wear out over time, which is normal and will not affect print quality or nozzle lifespan, so there is no need to worry about quality issues.
5. Dust and grease deposits on the print bed can reduce adhesion. It is recommended to regularly clean the print bed with warm water and dish soap to maintain optimal adhesion. Do not use other unauthorized cleaning agents.
6. Bambu Lab recommends using only Bambu Lab official glue on Bambu Lab print beds. Bambu Lab is not responsible for damage to the bed caused by using third-party glue. Do not use acetone to clean the Engineering Plate, as this will damage its surface.
7. After printing, always wait a few minutes for the print bed to cool down before removing the model. This prevents damage to the print bed and extends product life.
8. The latest firmware significantly improves Bambu Engineering Plate calibration using microlidar and is now fully compatible with the automatic calibration process.
9. The Engineering Steel Plate is a consumable and will age over time. Warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not include cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, or cracks. Warranty only covers steel plates that are defective upon arrival.
