Vortek Hotend Replacement System Vortek Hotend Replacement System

Fully Automated Filament Replacement
The Vortek system works seamlessly with the highly reliable AMS (Automatic Material System) to fully automate the entire filament replacement process—no need to manually load each filament into the tool head.

Always Provides the Most Efficient Combination
The Vortek system can store filament information in the hotend's memory, ensuring that each hotend matches the correct filament.
If you are printing with more than seven filaments, the system can calculate the optimal combination, minimizing waste.

Premium Printing Performance
Higher high-speed reliability and real-time error detection.
The PMSM servo extruder delivers a maximum extrusion force of up to 10 kg—70% higher than stepper motors—significantly enhancing the stability of high-flow extrusion.
Bambu Lab's proprietary servo architecture samples resistance and position at 20 kHz, actively and instantly detecting filament wear and clogs.

50µm Ultra-Fine Motion Accuracy
With its optical encoder, the H2C achieves distance-independent motion accuracy of less than 50 micrometers (finer than a human hair).
The system automatically compensates for any mechanical drift during calibration, ensuring long-term stable accuracy and excellent performance.

Smooth Surfaces, Sharp Edges
The H2C utilizes a servo motor on the extruder and high-resolution eddy current sensors on the nozzle to sense extrusion dynamics.
This allows for more precise extrusion control and automatic calibration of Pressure Advance (PA) parameters for each filament, resulting in smoother surfaces and sharper edges.

Bambu Lab H2C

Unleash the Potential of High-Performance Materials
The H2C's 65°C actively heated chamber and 350°C nozzle minimize warping and deformation while enhancing layer adhesion, enabling high-performance, high-temperature filaments.

Bambu Lab H2C

Comprehensive Print Monitoring
The H2C is equipped with 59 sensors* and a four-camera computer vision system, all working in conjunction with our proprietary neural network algorithms.
During printing, this system provides intelligent real-time diagnostics, detecting even the slightest printing abnormalities in an instant.
You don't need to be an expert to solve problems—your printer does it automatically.

Bambu Lab H2C

AI Camera
The H2C is equipped with an AI-powered camera system. This intelligent monitoring system continuously tracks extrusion patterns, instantly detecting material buildup, filament deviations, and extrusion failures.
Additionally, it performs pre-flight scans to ensure a safe startup.

Bambu Lab H2C

First-Class Air Filtration
The H2C's three-stage filtration system is crucial for engineering filament printing.
The powerful combination of a G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA filter, and coconut shell activated carbon filter effectively reduces odors and harmful particulate matter often generated during engineering material printing.

Bambu Lab H2C

Flame-Retardant Construction
The H2C's chamber is entirely constructed from flame-retardant materials, providing robust passive fire safety protection for the entire enclosure.

Bambu Lab H2C

Flexible Cybersecurity and Connectivity
The H2C offers convenient cloud connectivity for remote control from any device.
For security-sensitive applications, it also provides full offline capability, ensuring complete physical isolation. Users can operate the printer, send files, and update firmware without an internet connection.
For advanced users, developer mode enables MQTT port access, facilitating integration with third-party components and software.

Bambu Lab H2C FAQ
1. What hotends are included with the H2C Combo?

The H2C AMS Combo/Laser Full Set includes 8 hotends and 1 AMS 2 Pro:
Right-side Hotends (Inductive Hotends): 4x 0.4mm hardened steel inductive hotends, with 1 pre-installed on the printer and 3 included in the accessory box. The accessory box also contains 1x 0.2mm inductive hotend and 1x 0.6mm inductive hotend.
Left-side Hotends (Standard Hotends): 2x 0.4mm hardened steel standard hotends, with 1 pre-installed and 1 included in the accessory box.
Currently, the firmware supports mixed flow printing (standard flow + high flow), but does not yet support mixing different nozzle sizes during printing. If this feature is added in the future, it will be provided via a software update.

2. If I want full hotend changing capabilities, what additional hotends do I need? How should the AMS be connected?

To fully experience the Vortek 6 hotend automatic changing system, it is recommended to purchase the H2C Ultimate Kit:
3x 0.4mm inductive hotends, 1x 0.2mm left-side hotend, 1x 0.6mm left-side hotend, 1x AMS 2 Pro, 1x AMS HT.
Combined with the AMS 2 Pro included with the H2C Combo, you will have 2 × AMS 2 Pro + 1 × AMS HT.
Optimal configuration: Two AMS 2 Pro units feed the right-side inductive hotends; one AMS HT feeds the left-side hotend. This enables automatic switching between 7 hotends.
Other options:

  • Multi-AMS configuration: Add 2 AMS HT units, with all three AMS units feeding the right-side hotends.
  • Future configuration (2026): A filament track switching module will be released, supporting 7 hotends with only 2 AMS units.
