Every Original Prusa 3D printer receives years of long-term support after its release. This includes not only minor bug fixes but also major firmware and hardware upgrades that bring useful new features, and the MK4 is no exception.

Compared to the original Prusa MK4, the MK4S brings the following innovations:

When you receive your assembled printer, simply unbox it, plug it in, and once the automatic calibration is complete, you can start printing immediately!

Quiet High-Speed Printing

The MK4S is twice as fast as the MK3S+, making it one of the fastest desktop printers. It uses native implementations of Input Shaping and Pressure Advance to eliminate resonance and optimize filament flow, further enhanced by the new high-flow nozzle. The result is double the print speed and extremely quiet operation, so you can keep the MK4S on your desk and continue working undisturbed. The MK4S can print a SpeedBoatRace Benchy in 14 minutes and a "Bonkers" Benchy in 8 minutes.

Excellent Print Quality and Reliability
Speed is meaningless without quality and reliability. There's no point in chasing speed records if the finished print quality isn't excellent enough. While the MK4S is twice as fast as its predecessor, we've focused even more on improving print quality. With a newly designed 360° cooling system, a high-quality high-flow nozzle, robust components, and fine-tuned print profiles, the MK4S delivers exceptional performance through precisely directed cooling, extreme 75° overhangs, and can easily handle flexible filaments. The MK4S provides excellent dimensional accuracy, allowing you to reliably print parts.

High-Performance 360° Cooling
The MK4S features a brand new 360° cooling system, comprising a high-performance motor and a redesigned fan shroud, ensuring cool air is precisely directed onto the print. This solution is more effective than traditional fans because the airflow is not blocked by the print itself. The Nextruder's weight remains almost unchanged, but its performance is much better.
Even with a large motor, the printer remains exceptionally quiet and can produce prints with extreme 75° overhangs. The MK4S can easily deliver beautiful prints. Utilize fewer supports for shorter print times and less material waste.

Factory-configured High-Flow Nozzle
The MK4S comes standard with a high-flow nozzle based on CHT technology. The high-flow nozzle not only enables faster print speeds but also produces more durable prints. Additionally, you can fully utilize the filaments you already know and love, without needing to search for any specialized high-flow filaments. Compared to the standard nozzle in the MK4, the new high-flow nozzle can increase flow by 50% to 114%, depending on the material and nozzle diameter.

Handles Any Type of Filament
Whether your project requires PLA and PETG, or even ASA and carbon fiber, the MK4S can handle them appropriately. Printing flexible materials with the MK4S is easier than ever, allowing you to easily create amazing and interesting works.

Precise Offset Measurement
You won't need to struggle with Z-axis adjustments or frequent manual calibrations. No matter which print platform you use, the MK4S Loadcell sensor will precisely measure the offset without interference from reflective or textured surfaces. This sensor provides excellent accuracy for all kinds of printed objects!

Incredible Dimensional Accuracy
When your designed parts need to fit together with existing objects, or you want to ensure screw holes align, you need dimensionally accurate 3D prints. The MK4S has had its firmware and print profiles adjusted to achieve excellent print quality, so the MK4S can deliver satisfactory dimensional accuracy.

WIFI and Prusa Connect
The Original Prusa MK4S is equipped with a Wi-Fi module and LAN port, allowing you to control your printer from anywhere using the securely encrypted Prusa Connect system. Prusa Connect offers powerful features that let you schedule prints or monitor them remotely via webcam. With the Prusa app, the MK4S also allows you to quickly set up Wi-Fi through a simple NFC tap.

Dedicated Prusa App
Quickly browse all printers and ongoing print jobs, and allows you to start, pause, and stop prints from anywhere with an intuitive and simple interface. You can also access printable files directly from the app, and if an item includes printable files, simply click the print button to start printing immediately, without needing slicing software. This app is available for iOS and Android and does not require additional setup for your printer.

Active Updates
Even years after release, Prusa releases updates for its products, bringing more perfect and practical features that change the way you print. For years, the MK3S+ continued to receive firmware updates. The original Prusa MINI saw significant updates four years after its release, doubling its print speed.
