The Original Prusa XL is a large CoreXY 3D printer with a print volume of up to 36 x 36 x 36 cm, equipped with up to 5 independent print heads. Its system sensors provide automatic calibration, eliminating the need for constant recalibration and making it easy to print various objects. The XL features the new Nextruder, a completely redesigned extruder system with a zero-backlash cycloidal gearbox, hot-swappable nozzles, and a fully automatic first-layer calibration system, eliminating the need for manual calibration or Z-axis adjustments.
The Prusa XL's modular heated bed improves print quality by replacing a single large, warp-prone heated bed with a series of smaller, individually controlled segments. When printing smaller objects, only the necessary parts of the heated bed are activated, making the XL more energy-efficient. Like other Original Prusa 3D printers, it uses a proven double-sided spring steel sheet for easy maintenance and effortless print removal.
.Nextruder
The Nextruder features built-in electronics, with a dedicated CPU and stepper driver directly in the print head, controlled via a single connector for easy maintenance. Fans, thermistors, heat blocks, and nozzle extruder motors are all directly connected to the circuit board inside the print head.
.Automatic Calibration
An internally developed sensor built into the heatsink measures the physical load in the heatsink and uses the nozzle to probe the print surface. The XL can utilize a load cell system for extremely precise height calculations for the first layer.
.Up to 5 Independent Print Heads
5 independent print heads, with system sensors for automatic calibration and high-precision tool changes, eliminating tedious calibration procedures! Easily print water-soluble supports, and print in up to five colors, or use more different materials.
.Rigid CoreXY Structure

.Power Panic Recovery
The XL features power panic recovery. If a power failure occurs, the XL records the last position of the extruder. When power is restored, the machine can accurately resume printing from where it left off.

PrusaSlicer slicing software includes built-in tools for support generation, cutting, and automatic arrangement, allowing you to instantly convert 3D models into print file formats.
