Sinterit SLS 3D printers can use two different types of materials, which significantly affect the mechanical properties of printed objects. Depending on the material used during sintering, printed objects can be elastic or tough and highly durable.
PA12 is a polyamide powder with a particle size ranging from 20-100 microns. Its black color and smooth surface are suitable for printing objects with rich details. The material is hard and highly durable under unfavorable conditions (such as temperature). With its mechanical strength and heat resistance, PA12 is an ideal material for producing functional prototypes or end-use parts.
Cleaning powder is a smooth, virgin PA12 powder, used only after printing and during the cleaning process to remove remaining powder. After mixing with 30% fresh powder, unsintered powder can be reused for the next print.
