PolyLite™ PETG has become a mainstream and widely used material in the 3D printer industry. Its printing performance is between rigid PLA and impact-resistant ABS, making it the most cost-effective filament in the PolyLite series for stable 3D printing quality.
Many 3D printing users initially start with PLA and have recently been transitioning to PETG. This is because PETG has similar printing parameters to PLA, with low shrinkage and less warping, making it easy to print. However, its physical properties are close to ABS, offering high impact strength and excellent toughness.
Therefore, if you want to easily complete 3D prints and also want the finished product to have ABS characteristics, PETG is an excellent choice. In terms of price, PETG does not differ significantly from PLA and ABS. PETG is available in various colors on the market, including common colors like red, blue, green, yellow, black, and white.
For 3D printing parameters, the PETG nozzle heating temperature is typically 230 to 240℃, and the print bed temperature is 70 to 80℃ (the above parameters are based on PolyMaker PolyLite PETG as an example).
