Polymaker Polylite ABS Series - 1.75mm
Polymaker Polylite ABS Series - 1.75mm
— Available in six colors: yellow, blue, white, black, grey, and red
Main advantages and common characteristics of ABS:
・Low cost, easy to sand
・Good impact resistance and abrasion resistance
・More heat resistant than PLA, suitable for printing outdoor products.
・Stronger than PLA, less brittle.
・Excellent impact and abrasion resistance, can be used for electrical casings, sports accessories, and automotive parts.
・Less stringing.
・Smooth, bright model surface, available in a variety of colors.
Why use ABS?
ABS is one of the earliest and most commonly used 3D filaments. It is strong and high-temperature resistant, suitable for use in hot environments, resistant to weathering, and more flexible than PLA. It can even be applied to parts under mechanical stress, and most industrial parts can be made with it.
ABS is not easily stretched or deformed, and has moderate flexibility, making it less prone to permanent deformation.
ABS has a lower cost and good mechanical properties (high toughness, impact resistance), allowing for printing durable parts that can withstand wear and tear. Its shrinkage rate is also higher than PLA.
For 3D printing parameter settings, the general nozzle heating temperature for ABS is 245 to 265℃, and the print bed temperature is 90-100℃.
(The above parameters are based on PolyMaker PolyLite ABS as an example)
