Original Prusa XL Enclosure

The Prusa XL Enclosure is an optional accessory perfectly integrated with the original Prusa XL 3D printer.
It provides a stable printing environment and higher printing temperatures, making printing with advanced materials such as PCCF, Nylon, PP, ASA, etc. easier.
The enclosure eliminates drafts, prevents warping, and thanks to the advanced filtration system (HEPA filter, up to 99.9% efficiency), it also helps reduce odors and prevents the spread of ultra-fine particles (UFPS) into the air.
In addition, the enclosure reduces printer noise and covers all moving parts of the printer.

Seamless integration
The XL enclosure is designed to integrate seamlessly with the rest of the printer. This applies not only to the physical parts but also to the software: as the enclosure connects directly to the printer's mainboard, you can configure many useful features directly via the printer's LCD touchscreen. You can set the filtration performance and even the post-print filtration duration for the system to run longer to filter all particles generated during the print job; you can also easily control the LED strip and view the HEPA filter's lifespan in the printer menu.

Easy printing of advanced materials
The advanced filtration system with a high-efficiency HEPA filter (up to 99.9% efficiency) helps reduce odors and prevents ultra-fine particles (UFP) from spreading into the air. The XL printer automatically controls filtration and uses airflow to draw air from below, filter it through the HEPA filter, and expel it from the enclosure. You can check the temperature inside the enclosure via the thermometer located on the enclosure door (for reference only) or the information on the printer display.

For materials that generate fewer particles and odors (such as PLA and PETG), the filtration function is not automatically enabled to extend filter life, but you can turn it on manually. The enclosure includes an additional LED strip that syncs with your XL printer, and in addition to illuminating the print area, it also serves as a printer status indicator.

Everything is ready, no DIY required: All parts, including plastic parts, are included in the package, and you don't need to print anything yourself. You only need to replace a few plastic components in the printer (such as push rods or belt brackets) with heat-resistant materials (PCCF) parts provided in the box.

Stable printing environment
The enclosed print chamber creates a stable printing environment, increases printing temperature, and effectively isolates cold air and drafts. This is particularly ideal for printing high-temperature resistant materials that are prone to warping (such as PCCF, Nylon, PP, etc.). In addition, it reduces dust accumulation on moving parts, thereby extending the printer's lifespan.

Advanced filtration system
This filtration system is particularly useful when printing with PC blend carbon fiber or other materials that generate particles during the printing process. It also reduces odors and prevents ultra-fine particles (UFPS) from spreading into the air when printing certain materials.

High-quality components
The frame is made of metal, and the side and top panels are made of PETG plastic. The frame has mounting elements for various additional printed parts, electronic components, cameras, and other add-ons, with neat cable management.

Bellows cover
Some materials (such as PLA) perform poorly at high temperatures. Therefore, we designed a special magnetic bellows cover that can be quickly folded to create better airflow. The bellows cover is made of high-quality and durable polyester and polyurethane materials. Unlike ordinary hinged doors, the folding cover does not take up extra space and allows you better access to the entire printing area.
