Ultimaker 2 Extrusion Upgrade Kit

[3D Printing] Ultimaker 2 Upgrade + Kit! is now available. This kit includes all upgrade components and tools, requiring no additional tools, and takes just one hour to upgrade your Ultimaker 2 to the "+" version!

1. Print Head (Assembled)
The print head assembly, with all parts and wires already assembled, includes:

  • a) A newly designed fan bracket to focus cooling airflow on the object's surface, paired with a new Sunon fan for quieter operation.
  • b) The heating system power is increased to 35W, shortening heating time and increasing print speed.
  • c) TFM coupler replaces the original PTFE (Teflon) coupler, improving service life.
  • d) Removal of the spring structure and replacement with metal shims effectively reduces coupler pressure and extends its lifespan.
  • e) A new PT-100 temperature sensor wire is used for more accurate temperature readings and more precise settings.

2. Quick-release Nozzles
Thanks to the invention of the Olsson Block, changing nozzles of different diameters is quick and easy. The standard 0.4mm nozzle is already installed on the print head. You can also switch to a 0.25mm nozzle for finer prints, or choose 0.6/0.8mm nozzles to shorten printing time.

3. Feeder Motor
A feeder motor with stronger pushing force.

4. Feeder
The innovative feeder makes changing filament easy and allows for pressure adjustment based on the filament used. For example, relaxing the pressure when using flexible materials increases printing success rates.

5. Print Head Axis
To prevent bending the original axis when replacing the print head, the kit includes a new print head axis assembly.

6. Ultimaker Build Plate Calibration Card
Used to calibrate the horizontal height of the print platform.

7. Spool Holder
A new, shorter spool holder is provided to save space.

8. Axis Alignment Tool
Used when disassembling and installing the print head axis to help align and reduce friction.

9. Glass Plate Clamps
The newly designed glass plate clamps are easy to open and close, making it convenient to remove for cleaning or to retrieve printed objects.

10. "+" PLUS Sticker
After installation, apply the sticker. Congratulations, your Ultimaker 2 has officially been upgraded to Ultimaker 2+!
